Confessions.
Wandering through the empty corridor, her heart thudded against her ribcage as she attempted to subdue the thoughts that were flying about in her head at blinding speed, blurring into one face that was wrought with memories.
Him.
His face was planted in her mind, but it shouldn't be, it shouldn't be! She growled to herself, and the hairs on the back of her head bristled when she heard a replying growl.
From directly behind her.
She whirled around, and he stepped back deftly to avoid her mass of hair. He then moved forward – out of the shadows – and she was struck by the colour of his eyes. Liquid mercury that swirled into molten steel. And she knew what that look meant. She backed away. He pressed ever closer, that intriguing smirk on his face. When he darted forwards to stand in front of her she hastily walked backwards until she felt the cool stone of the wall behind her. He placed his arms casually around her body, one by her head and the other by her waist, so that she couldn't run away. He had learnt that lesson a long time ago.
"What do you want?" she tried to sound brave, but he heard her voice wavering. Her eyes still stared at him defiantly.
"More than you'll ever know."
"Back away Malfoy, I'm warning you." His smirk widened. She eyed him warily.
"What if I don't want to?"
"You have no choice."
"Oh, but Granger, I believe that I always do, but I shall obey your wishes." And with that he kissed her and walked away, lips quirking into a soft smile.
She stood there for a moment.
"Malfoy!" He returned, looking mildly surprised. She ran up to him and kissed him. Resting her cheek on his chest she mumbled, "I think we should tell Harry and Ron. About us being together." Draco grinned.
"There's no need Hermione. They've seen everything." He pointed behind her.
"She turned to see the invisibility cloak pooled on the floor, leaving a stunned Harry and Ron in its wake.
Hermione laughed.
