Author's Note: This just popped into my head and wouldn't get out until I typed it up. So here you go.
The conjurer and I
He plays his magic jokes and tricks
I dance my tears away
I am day while he is night
We are different,
And yet, alike,
The conjurer and I
He steals the show – center stage.
I hide behind the crowd.
He laughs, turns round and round.
My ears pick up the sound.
We are quiet,
Seldom loud,
The conjurer and I
He hides his sorrow, fear, and pain.
I show mine without restrain.
The ballet kitten,
The magician,
The conjurer and I
We dance together,
Two as one
The daylight comes,
Our moment done.
He'll flash a smile
For that,
I'd walk a mile,
The conjurer and I
He holds me gently,
When I cry
He says I'm special,
I ask why.
He says,
I love you.
I tell him,
I love him, too
Mistoffelees and I
Author's Note: You like? Me, too!
