Stolen Crown

Much had happened since Twilight's Coronation and Genghis' arrival to the Imperial Dragon Railway. The Class QJ had been improving in his English and he was selected to take The Mane Six, The Avatar, the Dragon Rider and their partners to a Princess Summit in the Crystal Empire.

"Whoo-wee, your very first Princess Summit. You must be over the moon, Twilight." Applejack said to the new Princess.

"I am excited but I'm also a little nervous as well." Twilight admitted.

"That makes three of us." Camille added.

"I still don't see why Camille, Astral, Aang and I were invited to attend?" Carol wondered.

"Hey, we're plenty important." Aang argued.

"Aang's right and I have a feeling we were invited for a bigger reason." Astral added.

"Pinkie Pie, any word from you?" Camille asked.

"I get it. You're all nervicited!" Pinkie declared.

"Say what?" Carol asked.

"Nervicited. It's when you want jump up and down and call "Yay me!", but you also want to curl up into a teeny tiny ball and hide at the same time. We've all been there." Pinkie noogied Carol's head.

"I'm there almost every day." Fluttershy admitted.

"As long as we keep our heads in the game we can approach anything with poise and grace." Aang said.

"Couldn't have said it better myself, Aang." Rarity agreed.

"And I have Twilight's Crown right here and Maggie and I have been giving her flying lessons." Camille explained.

"But it's still hard to get used to them." Twilight admitted.

"How do you think I feel about my wings?" Carol asked rhetorically, "Still at least Camille and I can hide ours at will."

"Are you all gonna keep gossiping or can we go in now?" Spike asked in boredom.

The group got the message as they headed into the throne room of the Crystal Empire. In the throne room Twilight was looking around before bumping into an orange Pegasus Pony wearing armor.

The Pegasus smiled before clearing his throat, "Her highness, Princess Twilight Sparkle."

Cadence, Celestia, and Luna came to greet the group, "It's good to see you, Twilight. We haven't seen each other since the coronation." Cadence greeted her.

"We all have so much to talk about but it can wait. You all look tired. Off to bed. All of you." Celestia sent them off. And so the whole group left the throne room to their own guest bedrooms.

In Twilight's room, Carol and Twilight were talking as Camille was getting ready for the night watch, "You okay, Twilight?" Carol asked.

"I don't know, Carol. I guess I'm just worried. I mean Cadence was given the Crystal Kingdom to watch over. What if Princess Celestia now expects me to lead my own kingdom?"

Carol replied, "Technically Cadence has Shining Armor and Quintessa helping her just as Celestia has Luna and Zuko so if she does expect you to lead a kingdom you'll have Spike helping you out."

"Still, just because I have this crown and these wings doesn't mean I'll be a good leader."

"You're right, Twilight, but know this. Everything that has happened happens for a reason. Now you guys get some sleep. I gotta get to work." Camille said.

Spike spoke to Carol, "You think Camille can handle this?"

"As long as she doesn't get distracted by Italian food. Pizza and Pasta in Particular." Carol asnwered.

They got to bed, while Twilight was having a tough time getting comfortable due to not being able to properly tuck her new wings in.

"Allow me," Camille used a spell to help Twilight tuck her new wings in, "Better?"

"Much." Twilight answered. Camille went to go do night watch as Twilight went to bed.

Meanwhile in another room in the Crystal Empire Castle, a glowing green light emerged as a door opened and from it stepped the Sinister Sisters and a fourth figure only the figure wore a black cloak and walked on four legs proving it was a pony. This was Sunset Shimmer but nobody knew this yet.

"You remember the plan, Sunset?" Scarlett asked.

"Yes. Just so long as you hold your part of the bargain." answered the pony.

"We know we know." Sapphire answered.

"One problem. Camille's going to be on tonight's watch. How do we distract her?" Sage asked.

"Leave that to me." Sapphire answered. She then conjured up some fresh Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken.

"How is that going to help us?" Sunset asked.

Scarlett answered, "Mindy told us that Camille has a weakness for Italian food. Namely Pizza and Pasta just as Celestia has a big weakness for cake. This is going to keep refilling itself till Camille's so full she'll have to fall asleep."

"Clever." Sunset admitted.

"Camille's coming," Sage warned, "Sunset, set the Pasta Bowl right in front of her." Sunset did so, as the aroma drifted over and caught Camille's nose.

Scarlett spoke, "You're gonna love this, Sunset. Camille's gonna be scarfing down that pasta much like Celestia scarfs down cake."

Camille getting the scent followed the trail before finding the food, "Fresh Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken. It smells so good." While she was busy stuffing her face, the group snuck past her.

Soon they made it to the room Twilight was sleeping in. They shushed each other. Sunset entered and switched out the Real Crown for a fake. She went to leave only to trip over Spike's tail. Carol heard the crash and woke up on the spot. She saw that Twilight's Crown was missing and it was in the saddle bags.

"Twilight, wake up your crown's gone." Carol cried.

Twilight saw the thief bolt, "She's got my crown!"

Sage spoke to Sunset, "Nice going."

"Oh, shut up." Sunset replied. Sunset and the Sinister Sisters bolted for it as Twilight Carol Aang and Astral chased after them.

"Wake up, everyone! There's a thief on the loose!" Aang called.

Everyone poked their heads out of their rooms seeing Twilight and Spike chase after the intruders. Twilight did a teleportation spell to try and stop the thieves only for the thief to do the same spell. The cloak vanished revealing the thief, that happened to be a unicorn mare with a bright orange coat, a red and yellow mane and tail and her Cutie Mark looked like a shimmering sun. The mare smirked but gasped when she saw Aang and Astral before bolting for it with the Sinister Sisters by her side.

"Stop thieves! Halt or I'll torch you!" Astral called.

The sisters stood together smirking, "Try it." Scarlett challenged.

"You really don't want to challenge me."

"That's where you're wrong." Sage replied. Astral charged towards the sisters intending to subdue them.

The three combined their magic to repel her, and bolted for the room they originally came from. Twilight managed to tackle Sunset but the tackle sent Twilight's Crown into the Mirror itself

"What'd you do with my crown?" Twilight demanded out of the mare.

"Sorry it had to be this way... Princess," Sunset replied smugly. She poofed away from Twilight and in front of the mirror, "Come on, you three!" She dove into the mirror. The sinister sisters followed Sunset into the Mirror.

Camille then showed up as she was still stuffing her face with pasta, "What in the bucking hell just happened?" Everyone turned to her with a glare seeing her stuffing her face when she was supposed to be on patrol, "I'm in trouble aren't I?"

"We will talk about this later. Right now we need to figure out who that pony was." Carol replied.

Next morning the group was in the throne room of the Crystal Empire waiting for explanations from Quintessa, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence as well as Princess Azula who just joined them.

Celestia spoke, "That pony was Sunset Shimmer. A former student of mine. She began her training not long before Twilight. But when she did not achieve what she hoped for right away, she turned cruel and dishonest. I tried to help her see reason, but she eventually abandoned her studies and set off on a new path. One that involved the stealing of your crown, Twilight."

"And the other three who were with her?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Azula answered, "From what I heard they are the Sinister Sisters. Camille, I have been told you know more about them."

"Tell us what you know, Camille. After you finish your pasta." Rarity sighed.

Camille quickly finished, "They're Scarlett, Sage, and Sapphire, three witch sisters. Before I was reformed we attended a school in a place called Halloween Town. If you thought I was trouble. Those three were just as bad."

"How bad are we talking?" Spike asked.

"They'd abuse anyone with their magic, even when the school's rule forbade others to use magic."

"Sounds like something you'd do on a daily basis." Applejack noted.

"Eventually they were stripped of their magic and became mortals." Camille finished.

"But how do they have their powers now?" Twilight asked, "Their magic seems much stronger than before."

"I only got one guy on my mind. Daolon Wong." Camille declared.

"Who is he?" Quintessa asked.

"A Dark Chi wizard we dealt with some time ago." Twilight answered.

"I hate to interrupt but can we please get back on task?" Carol asked.

Spike pulled out the fake plastic crown, "They replaced Twilight's with this fake one."

"I can tell that's a fake," Camille said, "I come from a clan of Master thieves. I would have known about the theft in an instant."

"Hence the Pasta distraction." Carol put in.

"How much can Camille be distracted by Pizza and Pasta?" Fluttershy asked.

Azula sighed, "I see a demonstration is in order." she presented a Seven Layer Cake and some fresh homemade lasagna. Celestia and Camille salivated, "See what I mean?"

Celestia quickly pulled herself together, "I can only assume they thought you wouldn't notice right away that this wasn't your crown. And by the time you'd realize it, it would be too late to go after your crown and element of harmony."

Camille also pulled herself together before speaking, "But what did Sunset want while she was your student?"

"She desired it all. Power, authority."

Quintessa spoke up, "And how would she get that? By mastering magic very quickly cause from what I can make out she's like a pony version of Camille."

Celestia answered, "She may have been good with magic, but she lacked friendship. This was one of the reasons I sent Twilight to Ponyville to learn about Friendship. I didn't want her to end up just like Sunset Shimmer."

"Speaking of Sunset Shimmer where did she go?" Aang asked.

"You'll all soon know more about this world than even I do." Celestia answered. They headed back to the room.

"I take it there is more to this mirror than meets the eye?" Aang asked.

Luna answered, "Yes. It's a gateway to another world. a gateway that opens once every thirty moons."

"And how long is 30 moons cause Camille and I use Earth time?" Carol asked.

"Approximately two years and six months." Luna answered.

"Ooh Sparkly." Pinkie placed her hoof on the mirror.

Luna rolled her eyes and used her magic to levitate Pinkie away, "It's always been in the throne room of Canterlot castle. But when Cadence took over the Crystal Empire, we sent it here for her to watch over."

"Zuko always told me that Celestia was hoping Sunset would use it to come back to seek her guidance again." Azula said.

"Unfortunately, this is not what's happened." Celestia sighed.

"And she's teamed up with the Sinister sisters so how do we proceed?" Quintessa asked.

Cadence spoke, "Twilight, you must go through to the mirror and into the other world to retrieve your crown. Without it the elements of harmony are useless and Equestria is left without one of its important means of defense."

"Seems simple enough. What's the catch?" Camille asked.

"If she does not return within three days by the time the moon reaches the center of the sky the portal will close. When it does it won't open again for another thirty moons." Luna warned them.

"So who else is going with her?" Astral asked.

"Well, duh! If she's going, we're going with her! Right girls?" Rainbow asked.

"Yeah!"

"I'm afraid I cannot let you all go." Celestia replied.

"Why not?" Rainbow asked.

"Sending all of you could upset the balance of this alternate world, creating havoc that would make it impossible for Twilight to get the crown back from Sunset Shimmer." Celestia warned them.

"So other than the ponies who is going with Twilight?" Camille asked.

"And what could Sunset Shimmer do with the crown in the alternate world?" Aang asked.

Luna explained, "The crown does not belong in the place Sunset Shimmer now calls her home. In her possession Twilight's Element of Harmony would no doubt be used to bring harm to the inhabitants of this other realm. They would not have the means to protect themselves."

"Sounds like Twilight, Astral, Aang, Carol and I have a big task ahead of us." Camille said.

"Yes. So you must go at once." Celestia said. As the five in question entered the mirror Spike suddenly followed after them.

"SPIKE! NO!" The ponies cried. But it was too late, Spike had already entered the mirror. The six who entered were falling through a vortex before a bright light illuminated them.
