Chapter 1: The Straw Hats! Disappearing in the Anima!

Wealth, fame, power…Gold Roger, the king of the pirates obtained this and everything else this world has to offer. And his dying words drove countless souls to the seas.

"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I've gathered together in one place! Now you just have to find it!"

These words lured men into the Grand Line in pursuit of dreams greater than they've ever dared to imagine. This is the time known as 'The Great Pirate Era'.

About a month has passed since the Straw Hat Pirates had the nightmare island known as Thriller Bark. There, they've managed to defeat Gekko Moriah, one of the seven warlords of the sea, survive an attack from Kuma, another warlord from of the sea, and gained a new member of the crew in Brook, the walking talking skeleton musician.

Right now, the Thousand Sunny continues to sail through the Grand Line as the Straw Hats continue their journey towards Fishman Island.

"What exactly is going on?" Luffy asked with a sign. His straw hat was shadowing over his eyes.

"This isn't good…" Usopp said.

"Indeed…" Brook agreed.

"I can't catch anything!" Luffy shouted in frustration. Currently, he and Usopp are sitting on the rail on the Thousand Sunny trying to fish with Chopper and Brook holding the nets.

"That is weird." Chopper said.

"We must have hit a rough patch." Usopp said.

"This is so boring!" Luffy said, bored.

"Well, let's just be patient." Brook said. On the grassy deck of the Sunny, Nami, Robin, Sanji, and Franky were around a table, drinking some tea. Zoro was sleeping next to a tree on the deck.

"Nami, we are getting closer to Fishman Island right?" Luffy whined, looking at Nami.

Nami spit out some tea and glared at her captain. "Shut up!" She shouted. "We're definitely getting closer!"

"Fishmen…Mermaids!" Sanji said. Then a picture of a mermaid popped into his mind and his eye turned into a heart. "Those beautiful mermaids! We're going to meet the mermaids! I've always wanted to meet one!" Zoro looked at the cook with an annoyed look on his face.

"Ah! I'm sick of this!" Luffy shouted, throwing his fishing rod away. "Sanji! Food!"

As Luffy was leaving, something caught Usopp's attention. "Huh? What's that?" he said, pulling his goggle to get a better look. "Awesome! It's a school of fish!"

"You see?" Brook said. "Good things come to those who wait."

"Alright!" Luffy said, sitting back on his spot. "Now we'll get something!"

"Hey, they're coming straight for us!" Usopp shouted. Nami stood up and walked over towards the boys.

"Hey Nami, do you want to try?" Chopper asked, offering his net. Nami leaned over to see the oncoming fish. "What's wrong?"

"Something's not right here." Nami answered. The school of fish continued towards the ship and went pass it without touching Luffy and Usopp's hooks.

"Hey!" Luffy shouted. "Come back, fish!"

Zoro opened his eyes and looked up at the sky. "Are those…" he said, causing everyone look at him confused. Nami looked at the sky and saw dark clouds hovering over them.

"Could it be?" Nami asked.

"What's with the 'this is bad, Captain' look on your face?!" Usopp shouted. Then raindrops started to fall from the sky, causing the crew to get inside the galley of the ship.

"It seems like we're stick in here for a while." Franky said.

"It appears that way." Brook said.

"Is there something wrong, Nami?" Robin asked.

"Yeah, it might just be me but something's off with this storm." Nami said. "I just can't put my finger on it."

Not too far from the Sunny, a man stood on a small boat watching as the Thousand Sunny continued to sail.

"The anima…is coming…" the man said. "If that ship continues on its course, it and everyone on it will cease to exist. I must hurry."

The storm clouds started to circle around each other in the sky as the sea rocks the ship back and forth repeatedly.

"Franky, get to the helm!" Nami said. "We have to stay on course until the storm dies down!"

"I'm on it!" Franky shouted as he ran out of the galley.

Nami looked at her leg pose and saw the needle spinning like crazy. "What the…" she said with widen eyes.

"What is it, Nami?" Luffy asked.

"There something wrong with the Log Post!" Nami said, showing the crew her log post. "Look at it."

"Now that's odd." Brook said.

"Uh guys, you might want to take a look at this!" Franky shouted. Everyone exited the galley and looked at the sky. What they saw a huge orb of light in the sky, releasing lightning-like bolts to the sea below.

Usopp screamed in terror and shouted, "What the heck is that thing?!"

"We're not staying around to find around to find out!" Nami shouted. "Franky, get to the helm and stir the ship! Whatever this thing is may be the reason why the log post is acting up."

"Right!" Franky shouted, grabbing onto the helm. "You can SUPER leave it to me!" Franky tried to turn the helm but couldn't. "What the… it won't move!" Then the helm started to glow a bright light and dissolve into particles.

"What's going on?!" Nami shouted as the rest of the Sunny started to glow and dissolved into particles heading towards the sun.
