Chapter I
Hundreds of candles poured light into the enormous chapel, their flickering flames dancing madly in the night, illuminating the ancient stained glass windows depicting the tediously crafted portraits of the Holy Family and the disciples and setting a glow upon the large space that lit up the faces of the multitude of gleeful guests. In a sense of unintentional irony, cream-colored rose petals were spread spurratically down the aisle. Cream, not white. White was pure. Cream was tainted, yet so close to white that no one knew the difference, no one but the sinner himself. The organ began to sing and the entire crowd simultaneously rose to their feet.
As the doors opened, Lex Luthor caught his breath and shook his head in disbelief at the sight before him- Lana Lang in a flowing white dress. She was wrapped in layer after layer of white satin and lace, a crown of white flowers adorning her head, standing out against her dark raven hair. Fairy princess she was, or so it seemed. The neckline of the dress dipped down, revealing a small amount of cleavage, though not enough to be considered immodest for a young virgin bride.
A necklace could be seen, or rather couldn't be missed, against her honey-colored skin. It hung perfectly from her graceful neck, the pendant landing right above her breasts. Some whispered to one another that it was the most exsquisite piece of jewelry they had ever cast eyes upon. It was large, but not obnoxious, although subtle was not a word that could be used to describe it either. Platinum intertwined around itself in twisting loops and curlicues in all directions, a cross somewhere between a flower and a snowflake. This abstract piece of art was simply a frame for the voluminous sparkling green emerald inlaid in the center of the pendant. It glittered in the light of the candles, it's color matching that of the eyes of those who envied her for it. The pendant was a picture of elegance and wealth, pure and perfect beauty. None saw the erotic wish behind it, metaphorically and literally, as the dark desire was engraved on the back of the pendant, invisible to all that outwardly admired it.
Her body, layered in white ruffles and lace, seemed to float down the long aisle. Some would say that she looked like an angel. Heavenly and pure, with a perfectly polished halo- he knew better. He anxiously stood at the front of the church in his suit, never taking his eyes off of her as she moved towards him.
As Lana made it to the alter, a smug smirk formed on his face as he stared into those dark hazel eyes. She met his gaze and her eyes lingered on his for a few moments before she turned to face the priest. The crowd sat and the ceremony started and yet his eyes stayed glued to her form. Her smooth skin appeared to glow in the candlelight. Her supple lips pursed as she awaited making her vows. Her petite breasts slowly moved up and down as she breathed, enticing him, teasing him. He had to stop himself from ripping the pure white gown to shreds and ravishing her right there on the alter, a place where sacrifices were made, a place where she would succumb to him, sacrificing her body to his every pleasure and whim.
Lex was awakened from his fantasy in time to hear the last of the priest's usual marital spiel. The vows finally came around, and Lana took the hand of her groom.
"I, Lana, take thee, Clark..."
