Words Left Unsaid
I don't own anything
As the Reds left and Tex sat next to church millions of thoughts passed through the freelancers head. Yet one was louder than all the rest. So loud that she couldn't help but say it.
"Church?"
"Yeah Tex," Church asked sounding weary.
"Why do you love me? I treated you like crap and you still save me all the time. Why?"
Church took off his helmet and sat it on the other side of him before turning to the red head and pulling her helmet off.
"Because we are meant to be together in every meaning of the phrase. Through memories, and time travel, war, and conspiracies we will always find each other because we are meant to be together. We are bound together by our hearts, souls; our very DNA is programmed to find each other. How could I ignore that?"
Tex stared at him in surprise. "But you yourself said I'm a bitch-"
"And I'm an asshole but loving someone means being able to overlook their flaws," Church interrupted the freelancer. "I love that you can be a total bitch sometimes. It keeps me in line. We are good for each other Tex. I've got enough ego for the both of us and you do all the work," He teased. "It's how things were meant to be. Its why this whole project was started. The director couldn't forget about you because he loved you. He made this for you even if he didn't know it. He destroyed himself for you because he loved you.
"I know it doesn't make much sense but it's the truth. When you died he was devastated. He ripped himself apart so he could make sure no one else died like you did. He hated himself for not saving you when you needed him so he tried to make up for it. Sure it was twisted and fucked up some lives but he needed this. If he didn't do something he would have gone crazy thinking about you.
"You mean so much to us its incredible. Its why he kept you so close to him and why he refused to let the director near you. He said you were just a shadow and the director refused to believe it. You were the reason why he lived and kept going. You're the reason why that type of a guy would want to settle down and have 3 kids and a picket fence. Love can be messed up but how can something be wrong when it's so right?"
Tex wrapped her arms around him tears pooling in her eyes.
"But its not fair to keep you here anymore. Just know that I will follow you," Church sighed.
Tex pulled back and looked at him confused.
"Because Tex I forget you but I'll never stop loving you."
The women he loved disappeared and church planned to go right after her… "CABOOSE?"
