This is my fist attempt to write a story guys, so no hate.
Hope you enjoy! :)
"Why?"
Garen Crownguard looked up from him book to meet his sister's bright blue eyes and sighed. "What do you mean?"
"I mean why can't I come with you?! I was trained for this! We fight side by side! Why did you tell them to leave me behind?!" yelled Lux frustrated.
The Might of Demacia closed his book and placed it on the table. He loved his sister dearly, but he wasn't going to put up with this.
"Luxanna. That is enough! I am not risking your life this time!"
"But-"
"No," Garen said sharply.
Lux didn't stop though. She wouldn't give up just yet.
"You just want to see her again, don't you? There are rumors, Garen. And even though I don't want to believe them, you make them sound true!"
That pushed the Might of Demacia over the edge. "Are you serious? Luxanna, this is the last time I repeat myself! You will stay here, with mother!"
"Why?!"
"Because I don't want you to die!"
Garen found himself gripping the arms of his sister, a bit too harshly for the small fragile girl to handle.
He wasn't ready to lose his sister.
Garen sighed and released her arms, pulling her in a hug. She remained silent, but he could feel the tears running down her eyes. He cared about her more than she could understand, but he couldn't see that she was as much of a fighter as he were. "I'm sorry," the blonde girl mumbled and Garen sighed, placing a kiss on the top of her head. "I'm sorry too. But it is for your protection, Lux."
The blonde sighed. "I know."
She then pulled back and shrugged, a smile forming on her lips immediately.
"Well, I guess I will have more time to spend with Ezreal now." And with that she turned her back to Garen, as if nothing had happened and left, leaving him dumbfounded.
He had of course heard that his sister and the Prodigal Explorer were somewhat going out. The fact that he did not approve didn't stop that little witch from seeing him though, and after what he heard, he was actually thinking of taking her with him.
But Lux had also talked about rumors involving him... and of course, the Sinister Blade.
He had faced her plenty of times. Each of their battles had been an never ending dance with death. She was a talented woman, when it came down to assassination, and Garen knew better than take her for granted.
A knock on his door shook him away from his thoughts as an arm was extended to open the door to anyone wanting to enter.
"Garen!"
He looked confused as his sister ran into his room once again.
Giving her a confused look, he did not need to ask what was going on. The girl took a deep breath and looked Garen in the eye.
"King Jarvan demands your presence. Now."
Walking into the throne room, Garen was ready to kill. As soon as his eyes fell on none other than the Sinister Blade, his hand reached for his sword but Jarvan stood up and motioned for him to put it away before anything unwanted happened.
"King Jarvan," he acknowledged with a bow, after he had calmed down just a bit,
Jarvan IV, being Garen's best friend, or more like a brother, looked at the Might of Demacia with a reassuring look, before turning to his visitors.
"Is there something wrong, Garen?"
The sound of her voice made him shiver. He immediately looked at him, and couldn't help the growl escaping form his mouth.
Today, he was going to lead the attack against Noxus. He knew she would be there, but this? What was happening exactly? How had she come into Demacia without being killed? And why was she standing in front of Jarvan like nothing has ever happened?
"Garen," Jarvan's voice brought him back to reality, as he slowly took his eyes from the woman, back to the King. Shyvana, who stood by his side, handed him a letter, and he nodded his thanks.
"A letter arrived from the League, today. That is why the Sinister Blade was called to visit Demacia, along with a few Noxians. It involves her," then he turned to Garen, "and you."
Now it was the assassin's turn to turn and look at him. Garen could feel her emerald green eyes stare but he did not dare to turn and look at her. Not yet.
He had to know what the League wanted first.
"May we hear to what the League has decided?"Garen asked with a strong voice.
King Jarvan unfolded the letter, and sighed.
"The League, in order to bring peace between Demacia and Noxus, has decided upon... A contract between the two cities."
Garen was confused. A contract? "And what involves us, exactly?" Katarina chirped in, stealing the words from his mouth.
Jarvan only shook his head. It was difficult for him to say what was written in this letter. And that is why Shyvana, his beloved mate, made the move and stepped forward.
"The League believes that in order for peace to come, the two most deadly figures of each side must become one."
"So what you are saying is that I will have to lead an army alongside a Demacian?" Katarina asked the half Dragon, but the other female simply laughed. The evil glint in her eyes made Garen really nervous about what was to follow.
"No. They want you to get married."
Sooo, first chapter is done.
Should I write more?
Thanks for taking the time to read my ideas,
Love, Eva
