It was only slightly illegal to use magic in Vegas, so whilst she could've counted cards, she stuck to pretending she was cosplaying and using her hearing and sight to work out what they were holding. Shane had taken of his ears, but had kept the contacts in. Her companion looked so cute when he was concentrating; his face skewed to the left, his tongue poking out. It was sheer fakery, to make his opponent think he was faking. It worked well, the opponent, a balding man in his fifties called his bluff. He had a weak hand, it was going well. She smiled at the reason they did this. They were like the human myth of Robin Hood, taking from the casinos and giving to the poor, well, most of it. She did like her companions shopping trips.

Shane shook slightly, angry with himself, he should've been concentrating! He hadn't been right recently, Paranoid. That's what some would call it. He'd had these dreams see. Flashes of images, A man with no features looking through a casino window, a feather, winning a tournament, Britan. It went on.

"Sir, it's your turn" Called the Dealer

"Raise 50" he said, throwing in a number of chips.

"Call" echoed through the table until met by a new player, a wiry besuited player, obviously an expert. "Raise 1,000" he said, speaking with a English accent

"Fold" Ran through the table until it reached Kat.

"All in, for 2164 dollars" she said nonchalantly. The table turned to Shane

"All in, for 1235 dollars" he told the Dealer, hesitating slightly. Ten pairs of eyes bored into him "Call, 2164 dollars" he replied.

Sweat dripped down my brow as the final card was played, an Ace, Yes! I silently laid my cards, a Jack and Queen of the same suit, together with the King of suit. I was now quite rich.

Kat laughed and threw her arms round her companion, yelping in ecstasy, that wiped the smug smile of the besuited mans face. She took his phone and set the camera to timer, they struck a pose with the chips and the flash went off. As she lifted the camera, a feather fell down, as if floating on the winds of change. It was a dark blue feather and really pretty. She put it in her hair and took another photo, nothing could ruin this moment!

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask that you follow us" Said a casino guard clasping his hand on his broad shoulder

"What for?" He asked as innocently as possible

"I'm afraid it is a sensitive matter" He drawled

"Oh shit" Shane mumbled.
