PN (Poet's Note): This is a poem 'bout Colette, as you might guess after reading it. It also has Colette/Lloyd leanings, which were completely unintentional. So, please, don't flame me for that. I can't help that her world seems to revolve around him.
Disclaimer: Me no own. Me wish me did. Me is only a poor high school poet. So you no sue. Got it?
Hide it
Hide it all (behind a bright smile)
Preach hope when I have none (give others what I don't have)
Never be selfish
Never be unkind
Always give a helping hand (even when I hate who I'm helping)
Sacrifice
Sacrifice everything (sometimes I doubt what I was taught)
My life for the world (I have to ask, is it really worth it?)
Then I see Him (his smile, his laugh)
And I know (from the depths of my soul)
It is (for Him)
P.N.2: Soooo, thoughts? Comments? Constructive criticism? Please, let me know you think.
