This is my first time on writing a fanfic so please take pity on me. This is how I would envision Will and Sonny starting their relationship.
Will is walking through Horton square looking down at his phone. He's pondering rather or not to text Sonny. On one hand, he wants to let Sonny know how he feels about him, but on the other he doesn't want to screw things up with him and Brian. They just looked so happy together the other day at the coffee house and he just wants Sonny to be happy. All of a sudden he bumps in to somebody.
"Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking," Will said as he looked up to see T.
T stopped and looked at him and said, "Well maybe you should start paying a little bit more attention of where you're going instead of daydreaming about all those other fairies you have on your mind."
"T, just leave me alone. Why can't you just leave things be and move on with your life."
"Well, I can tell that something is bothering you. You should be thanking me right now anyway," T blurted out.
"Why should I be thanking you for anything?"
"I overheard your fairy friend Sonny telling another queer how 'into' you he is. All he is doing is trying to convert you and trust me, I let him know to stay away from you," T said.
Will's heart skipped a beat when T had told him that Sonny is still into him, but now his anger was starting to rise inside. "What do you mean, 'you let him know to stay away from me'?"
With a smug smile, T said, "Let's just say, his face isn't as pretty as it was before."
Standing around the corner, Sonny was overhearing their conversation. He stayed out of sight but close enough to hear what was going down.
Will's anger got the best of him, "I SWEAR, IF YOU LAID ONE FINGER ON HIM, YOU WILL PAY!"
"Hey man, I was just doing you a favor and this is the thanks I get," T smirked. "He got what was coming to him."
Will couldn't contain himself any longer, he grabbed T by his shirt and threw him up against the wall and held him there. "Listen to me, if you ever touch, or even look in his direction again, it will be the last thing you will do in this town. Sonny means more to me than you ever have as a friend and I care for him just like he cares for me!"
Will lets go of T and he brushes himself off. "Fine, I don't want to be friends with you two fairies anyway. I thought I had made that clear before." T walks off and Will is trying to calm himself back down. The only thing he can think about is if Sonny is okay. He turns to run and see if Sonny is working at the coffee house, but as he turns, Sonny is standing their staring at him with a blank expression on his face.
Will instantly see's the small bruise on Sonny's lip and without thinking runs his thumb along it. "Sonny, are you okay? Does it hurt? I'm so sorry this happened and it's all my fault."
Sonny looks into Will's eyes and grabs his hand away from his face gently. "This is not your fault. We both know how T is and he just thought he was looking out for your best interest."
Will looking back at him says, "My best interest is not in hurting somebody I care about. I am so sorry about everything." Will's phone beeps and gets a text from his mom. "I'm sorry, but I have to run. My mom needs some help with the kids, but can we talk later? Maybe grab a bite to eat or do something this evening?"
Sonny smiled slightly and said, "I think that would be a good thing. How about you text me later the time and place and I'll meet you."
Will replied, "Perfect." Before he turned to take off, he ran his thumb over Sonny's fat lip one last time as their eyes met. Walking away, will had a smile on his face and felt something he had never felt before. Sonny's face lit up as Will walked away and his grin grew bigger than ever before, finally letting out a breath he wonders if he had been holding the whole time.
