Sora could feel himself falling through the water. Small air bubbles floated up next to him and away to the surface. He was falling deeper and deeper, until he could feel his feet hit the bottom.

He opened his eyes and stood up straight. He couldn't see anything, and he looked around. Riku was no where in sight, neither was Kairi. Desperately, he tried calling their names.

"Riku! Kairi!"

No response. He grew worried, what happened to them? The ground underneath him began to fade away; he was going to keep falling. What if it was forever? Did that mean he'd never see his friends again?

"Sora!"

He heard his name. The voice was unfamiliar, but he figured the water could change the tone of a voice. Putting one arm in front of the other and pulling with all his might, he began to make his way back up. However, the further he went, the more impossible it seemed to swim out of this pit.

He finally gave in, and let the water pull him back down. Everything seemed completely hopeless; he was just going to stay in the water eternally.

A light pierced the thick of the water, barely reaching Sora. He winced, it was unusual for it to come so deep.

"Sora!"

The voice yelled again. A hand reached out from the light. He didn't know who it was, but maybe they knew where Riku and Kairi were. Sora reached for the hand, and grabbed it.

A warm light emitted from it.
