Prompt: You Save Me – Kenny Chesney

Hotch smiled to himself as he thought about all the times the woman he loved has saved him. She is always saving him in one way or another so he figured it was about time to save her for once. He knew that she had something she had to do tonight but she didn't really want to do it so he would go with her. He stood up from his desk and went down to her desk. He wanted her to see that he was totally honest and sincere about what he was saying to her.

"Emily can you look up at me for a moment?" Hotch asked once he got to her desk.

Emily looked up and smiled at Hotch. She loved this man and she would eventually get the nerve up to tell him. She just wasn't sure when. Little did she know that he was about to profess his love for her in front of everyone. "What can I do for you Hotch?"

Hotch smiled but took in a deep breath. "Emily I love you and I mean I am in love with you. We have been the best of friends for a long time now but I have been in love with you since the first day you made it clear you wasn't leaving my side. I need you like I need air. You save me every time something is going wrong in my life. I know that you have to go to your Mother's tonight and that you don't really want to go but I want to go with you. Let me save you for once. I love you."

Emily's smile widened as her cheeks turned red. She didn't know that he noticed that she was always stepping in to make things easier for him.

"I love you too Aaron and I'm in love with you. I have been for at least the last nine months if not longer. I know that I first noticed it nine months ago. You save me too Aaron. Whenever I'm down you're there if I need to talk. If you're sure you want to go with me tonight then I would love to bring you with me. I love you."

Hotch let out the breath he was holding and strode around Emily's desk. He pulled her up out of her chair and then kissed her. He has wanted to kiss her for forever and now that he was finally kissing her he didn't want to stop.
