A/N: Okay well this was a school assignment that was to make our own myth about how blah blah blah...mainly I made a character named Alphene who's the goddess of feelings and learns an important lesson from an unusual girl named Rosey.

One very gloomy day, Aphrodite and Hephaestus had a daughter. Her name was Alphene. She was the goddess of feelings, since her mother was goddess of love and her father god of fire (fire represented anger, fury ) She would toy with people, by taking an item from someone and mixing it with another item. The owners of those items would start feeling a deep emotion. Sometimes love, hatred, fury, pity or even happiness. But on one of those unfortunate or fortunate days, depending on which emotion was given, Alphene took Artemis's arrow and Hera's peacock feather. Both were treasured items to each of these goddesses. Soon around noon, 2 women on Mount Olympus started bickering.

"I am ruler you shall obey me and burn down half of your forest!" Hera had screeched, outrage and anger printed all over her beautiful features, but were not as gorgeous at the moment.

Artemis was angered very much by these words and shot back, "Well then, I demand to know what makes you think you deserve such a high title, even as father marries many woman, why you!?" the moon goddess was very used to defending herself and her kingdom (her forest with it's animals), and did not wish to be beaten at such a pitiful fight.

From the corners of the room, young Alphene stared at the 2 and instantly started to feel guilty. She loved many of her emotions that mostly were caused by her, but one of them that she wished to not have had was guilt. She walked down to the meadows and started enjoying the smell of flowers. Daisies, lilies, tulips, sunflowers, and buttercups. She glanced over her shoulder to see a little girl staring at her with one of the reddest eyes (meaning the iris) she had ever seen. But soon she found that she didn't have red eyes anymore but yellow, then orange. Were they eyes of the girl just changing colour?

"Would you be…Alphene, goddess of feelings?" asked the small child in an almost adult tone. Alphene just nodded knowingly.

"Little girl, are you lost?" she questioned, concerned that the girl had lost her parents and was trying to find her way about. The child shook her head.

"No, I just saw you on my way to Athens, and of course no person in their right mind would leave a person as important as you just sitting there without saying hello. It looks as if you are sad, what's the matter?" She walked over.

Alphene sighed and told the girl everything, "Small girl, if I do not stop them a lot could be ruined!"

"Before I tell you anything, I'll tell you my name is Rosey." Rosey smiled continuing her story, "long ago an old woman told me this, 'not all people are perfect. Many think they are but in truth are really just opposite of what they think. People naturally make mistakes, and need to forgive themselves. If they have hurt someone ,or fooled around in your case, then really just apologize and patch things up.' Maybe you should tell yourself that you're not perfect and try fixing things. Maybe give them their things back and apologize." Rosey sighed after her story, "Dear goddess I respect you and will pray every night that everything has worked out." She was grinning ear to ear but silent tears ran down her soft cheeks.

Alphene felt that this child deserved a reward for kindly helping her, so she said, "Rosey, I shall now reward you for what you have done. I will turn you into a special flower that will stay in the meadows year after year." So was done.Alphene stood and turned the youth into a single red flower that we now call the rose. It comes in many different colours and sometimes used to eat, and has thorns to remind people that life isn't all beauty, but sometimes pain.
