*I don't own Jane and the Dragon or its characters

Oblivious to her audience, the spirited lady Knight attacked her wooden foe. All observers had thier separate opinions pertaining to her appearance, and of course it a enlightening.

"I think it is the hair, all carrot like"

"What about it? That it is everywhere?" complained Gunther

Jester interjected. "That is too plain. I believe you mean to say Her crown of beauty is alive with the secrets of a more softer, gentle heart"

"Jingle boy, your head has gotten soft and putrid, must be the hat holding all that secret perspective and perspiration" laughed Dragon

"Is it really that bad?"

Holding his nose, Gunther retorted. "Not if you hold your breath"

"I cannot help it if I enjoy onion soup a little more then the next person"

"Drown in a field of lavender, then scrape all your skin off on a thorn bush"

"I am not a Dragon, I cannot grow my skin"

"Too good to be a dragon aye?"

"No Dragon, I will never be man or dragon enough. I have other responsibilities to take care of, but know that I try"

Crossing his arms, Gunther sighed." Your tired verses are what really stink"

"The ballads of old leave a stain on my soul"

"Come know short life. For a human, you are terribly depressing"

While the other two argued, Gunther focused on the careful strokes, the elegance in strength, enchanted and envious of her skill. Thinking that he was using his inner voice, Gunther smiled. "It is purely the essence which is Jane that is her best quality. Loyalty over bravery and love are what I most admire"

"Exactly, well put Gunther"

Feeling confused and frustrated, he trudged away, muttering to himself. "I cannot believe I uttered such pretense"

"Perhaps you are not charcoal after all" chuckled Dragon.

Turning away, Jane cursed at the dummy, confused about the delight of such compliments.
