Missing His Best Friend

As you might know if you're my friend, my sibling went to Paris but I'm feeling a little blue so leaving the airport, this popped into my head but I'm hoping you guys like but it's an one shot.
In it, Perry is going on a vacation to New Zealand and Doof is feeling blue because he misses him.
But he knows he'll see Perry when he comes back from his trip.
I hope you guys enjoy.
Doof sighed as he and Perry stopped the scooter in the parking space in Danville International Airport but Doof was feeling worried because Perry was going on vacation for a week to New Zealand but was trying to hide his feelings about not seeing him for a whole week but was trying to put on a brave face.
"Doof you okay?" Perry asked him.
He nodded but was holding back his feelings about his friend going away for a week to New Zealand as that place felt like home to Perry but couldn't let him see he was sad because he wanted his friend to be happy.
"I-I'm fine Perry.
Let's just go, okay?" he said.
But Perry felt an aura of sadness from Doof which made him a little worried knowing Doof would be like this if he did something like this because they were very close but knew he'd be okay because he had to look after Tara.
He sighed picking up the suitcase.
He knew that Doof would be sad but he wasn't going to live in New Zealand.
"Let's go." Doof said as they entered the airport...
Perry noticed Doof was quiet helping him check in his luggage but the plane wasn't leaving for a few hours so he and Doof were hanging out browsing through the stores in the departure lounge but were having a little fun but decided to get a coffee as there was a Starbuck's there but Perry saw Doof wipe away tears knowing this was a little hard for him since they'd been best friends and nemesises since he'd first started working for the O.W.C.A so knew Doof was sad but needed to cheer him up.
He then saw him get in the queue for getting served but knew he was in no mood to talk about his feelings but knew doing so could help Doof to feel better about him leaving for a week.
Doof then returned with a tray with a Frappucino, a latte and muffins.
"Thanks Doofy.
Can I ask something?
Why're you sad about me going for a week?" Perry said to him.
Doof was stunned hearing the male say that but sighed.
"B-Because I can't bear to see you go.
Like the time I nearly replaced you with Peter.
Every time you go, my feelings get like this.
Just like that time." he said misty eyed.
Perry saw him wipe the tears away with an napkin.
"I never knew he had feelings for me like that." he thought.
"Doof I know you feel scared.
But it's not like I'm going to live there in New Zealand.
I'm just going there but I'll come back to you and Tara." he said.
"Y-You promise?" Doof said.
"I promise." Perry told him.
They heard the gate for Perry's flight announced as they ran there but before heading onto the plane, Perry hugged him but handed him something.
Doof hoped that he'd be okay.
He then opened the envelope seeing a photo of them and Tara together.
It made him feel happy.
He then headed back outside and got onto his scooter driving off...
A week later, Perry returned to Danville Airport but saw Tara run up to him hugging him as he smiled knowing she'd missed him while he was away but smiled seeing Doof hug him too.
"How was your trip?" he asked.
"Good." he said holding something in his arms.
Doof saw it was an egg but had no idea his friend had been asked to take care of it here in Danville but knew that it felt good to be back home after being away for a week...
