"Yeah," Wally says smugly, buffing his nails against his shirt, "I taught him everything he knows."
"Like hell!" Dick blurts out, affronted. "I get girls because I do the opposite of what you do!"
"I've seen you use pickup lines, Boy Wonder! And you totally ripped off that line you used on Batgirl from me, don't try to deny it!"
"'Cause I was telling her how lame it was," Dick rolls his eyes. "And did you notice her laughing?"
"Girls like funny guys!"
"Yeah, they do, not corny ones." Dick shoots back. "Billy, look, just be honest with her. Treat her nicely, talk to her like a person, don't condescend to her and be thoughtful. That's all."
"But I get nervous!" The boy who transforms into Captain Marvel looks like a lost puppy, even- dear Lord- wringing his hands.
"Project confidence." Wally tells him, doing just that by means of sticking out his chest and making a Superman Face (then deflating with an "Oomph" as Dick pokes him in the belly.)
"That's actually not bad advice," Dick admits, sounding surprised; in deference to this, he refrains from reacting when Wally sticks his tongue out. "When you get nervous, just fake confidence until you feel it. If you can't look at her without getting nervous, focus on something-"
"Not her boobs!" Wally interjects hastily, dodging Dick's elbow-
"-like her necklace or earrings or something, I dunno."
"'Project confidence.'" Billy repeats in a mutter. "Right."
"Chin up, shoulders back, stomach in." Dick rattles off.
"Not to mention it shows off the sweet superhero bod." Wally muses, posing. "One perk to the Good Fight, it's a great workout."
Dick sighs, shakes his head, and pinches his nose. "Do the opposite of what Wally does and you'll be fine." He grins. "It's worked wonders for me."
But what Dick doesn't yet know, the little innocent, is:
DAT ASS. XD
