Normally she would be hiding out in her room for a day such as this. It was the crack of midnight, and she sat in front of Minato's grave with a dark expression on her usually light face. she'd spent a couple of hours here already, staring down at the bright blue flowers she'd bought. She lets out a hollow laugh, rubbing her tearing eyes and smiles sheepishly at the towering marble grave that Mitsuru had insisted on, her hand reaching out to shakily press against the cold stone.
She really shouldn't be ding this to herself. She needed to get over it and allow herself to move on but…she just wanted to see him once more. The bubbling of old, forgotten hate stirred, and she pushed it down as her fist clenched against the marble. She couldn't breathe all that well, not while her throat was clogged in an attempt to sob, one which she refused to bring out.
It wouldn't be good to cry in front of him again, not when she was meant to be happy. She forced the smile on her lips, humming softly. The humming turned into soft singing, the archer not paying anyone any mind as she sung to herself.
"He stumbled into faith and thought…god is this all, there is? The pictures in his mind arose…and began to breathe. And all the gods and all the worlds began colliding on a backdrop of blue…Blue lips, blue veins…"
She'd always seen him as being the only one that could really see, really hear. The only one who was really awake. And he was gone now, he had been gone for a full year. She lets out a shaky sigh, fist falling from the marble.
"Blue...the most human color, huh?"
Was that true? Tears where blue. When she looked at her veins they appeared blue. Minato, he had blue hair. Blue seemed to surround her. Her hand moved to clasp the fabric over her heart. It wasn't hurting as much as it used to but, the dull pain was enough for the small girl to get out into the night.
She was sure the others had tried to distract her from the date but, she knew. She was graduating today, wasn't she? So why couldn't she bring herself up to walk home and sleep? She sighed, moving her back to rest against the stone and closed her eyes, thinking.
"You know Minato, I'm graduating today. With Fuuka and Junpei. I wish…I wish you where with us. It might make today better."
Another shaken, hollow laugh escapes her lips and she opens her eyes to the sky, the tears streaming down her cheeks before she can stop them.
"I-i…I miss you…Oh god…"
And the brunette curls into herself, crying loudly in the empty cemetery.
