Long, Long ago, there was a man by the name of Rogean. He lived in a small village. His house was close to a cliff by the water. He wasn't the smartest person. I guess he would be the village idiot. One day he was walking into the woods, talking to himself when he heard a real voice. "Hello Rogean, I am the light of the Ancients. I have come to warn you of great evil. In 1 years time a concentrate of evil, in the form of a dragon will come forth. You must build here a castle and door to trap him in." Rogean then asked, "Why tell me? You should tell this to the village leaders, not me!" The voice didn't answer back. Rogean ran back to his village to warn them. He kept going on about it but no one listened. He then decided to make that door so he would trap the evil inside . After 1 year, he completed it. That's were the story starts, but it wasn't told right. Yes the war started but the Ancients didn't trap him, it was the Village id… I mean Rogean. After Rogean trapped Dark Dragon, he wrote a book on how and when he may return to Rune and destroy it all. A Traveler from Runefaust bumped into Rogean one day and swapped books. He read it top to bottom and set out to make it happen. He passed it on to his son, and he passed it down to his son and so on and so on. But while the traveler still had the book, another copy with more details was buried with Rogean, telling of a boy and a team called the shining force, driving Dark Dragon back into the gate. Grave robbers stole the book from him and started to spread the word, after awhile the story started to sound like this…

Dark Dragon was defeated and cast into another dimension. The Lord of Darkness vowed to return in 1,000 years. Time passed, and Dark Dragon was forgotten by all. Ten centuries of peace ruled the land of Rune. Until the kingdom of Runefaust brought war and fear to Rune. Hordes of evil creatures ravaged every land. Here and there, strongholds of Good still held out... awaiting a Hero who could wield the Powers of Light!"
