Dr. Gregory House, from the television show "House", is a mean, snarky doctor. The show, "House", is about the world renowned

diagnostician that does whatever it takes to solve the case.

Six years ago, House felt some tenderness in his right thigh muscle. He went to the clinic and was admitted to the hospital soon

after. He had an infarction, which is a blood clot in the muscle. The doctors were going to have to amputate, but he would not let t

hem. "It's

my leg. It's my life," he told his girlfriend Stacy. So his thigh muscle began to die. He had a successful surgery that removed half of

the muscle. After the surgery, it was very hard for him to walk, so he had to use a cane. He now takes Vicodin, but it does not take all

the pain away. He is in pain all the time.

Confirmed by Stacy, House has always been the same mean, old doctor. One reason he might be like this is because his father

abused him when he was a child, as stated in the episode, "One Day, One Room." Sometimes, his father made him take ice baths and

sleep outside. His father was also in the military, and they moved all over the world. He never had a lot of friends. That may also be

why he has had relationship problems.

He does not care about taking care of the patient. He only cares about solving the puzzle. House may be in pain all the time. He may

be mean and sarcastic, but he is a really great doctor.
