The episode will remain the same up until the scene where Phoebe tells Allison that Max isn't coming to prom. After that scene, is where things are different in my alternate version.
Max is down in his lair feeling blue. His lair has been turned into a normal room as a punishment for the fact that he teamed up with Dark Mayhem. In addition, Dark Mayhem wanted Max to take away Phoebe's powers, and despite Max being against that, Barb and Hank thought that he was totally in on the plan.
"Great," Max said, "I can't get out of here and prom is tomorrow. Allison is probably going to break up with me, all because of my parents and PHOEBE!"
In addition to turning the lair into a normal room, Barb and Hank also punished Max by keeping him locked down in in his lair by using the Thundertainium Max installed in his lair a while back. Thundertainium is strong steel that keeps people from going in an out. When Barb and Hank found out about Max's plot, they took the button that opens and closes the Thundertainium to keep him locked down there.
Also, Colosso is nowhere to be seen. That's because Barb and Hank are now keeping him in their room.
All of the sudden, the Thundertainium opens up making a loud noise. It turns out Barb opened it so that she could enter Max's lair. As Barb enters the lair, she says, "Man, is there any way that this Thundertainium could open up more quietly?" In her hands is a tray with food on it.
"Alright Max, here's your dinner," said Barb. Because Max was confined to his lair, he had to eat his meals down there. Barb and Hank were worried that if they have Chloe teleport Max's meals to him, then Chloe would teleport Max out of his lair, so they decided to deliver his meals the old fashioned way.
As Barb lays Max's tray down on a shelf she and Hank bought when they were rearranging his lair, Max starts to beg to his mother. "Mom, I promised Allison I'd take her to prom tomorrow. She'll probably break up with me if I'm not there," begged Max, "And my band is headlining the prom as well."
Max stands up as he continues to beg. "I will accept the fact that you're keeping Colosso, and I'll accept the fact that you renovated my lair," added Max, "And I'll even do my siblings chores if you would just allow me to go to prom tomorrow. Please! PLEASE! PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSE!" While saying his final long "please", Max kneeled down and put his hands together.
When Max finished begging, Barb, for a second had a sympathetic look on her face. Then, it turns serious. "I need to talk to your father about this," she says sternly. Barb walks to exit the lair. Max follows her only for Barb to stop, turn around, and put her hand out. "You stay down here, you're confined down here, remember?" she says. "But mother," pleaded Max. Barb cuts him off. "No buts, I will talk to your father about this while we're eating our dinner, now, stay put and eat your dinner before it gets cold. When your father and I are done eating our dinner, we will come down and let you know what our decision is. Okay!" exclaims Barb. "Okay," says Max in a sort of sad tone.
Barb then exits the lair as Max walks over towards his tray of food and carries it over to his new bed that Hank and Barb bought for him when they converted Max's lair into a normal room.
