Mulder looked to his left at the dead body that was now headless. He felt a warm hand stretching out slowly for his. Scully.He turned back to her and realised the fear in her eyes. He tightly held her hand "It's okay, I'm here"
Scully seemed to relax "Did...did you find him" she took a deep breathe "the smoking man?"
Mulder sighed in reply "Scully I will tell you later, right now you need rest, besides I'd better call the nurse"
Scully firmly shook her head "Don't leave me alone...Mulder please" Scully wrapped her arms around her legs.
Mulder smiled and lifted her up of her feet, carrying her the bride way "Wouldn't dream of it" as he gently layed her down on the bed. He grabbed a tissue and cleaned the blood of her face, from the man that he killed earlier.
He picked his phone up, and dialled Doctor Oswalds number "Hello?" a voice picked up
"Hi this is Fox Mulder, there has been an accident at the hospital with Dana Scully"
"I'm on my way, what happened? Was it another seizure" the doctor replied on the phone.
"No somebody got in and tried to kill her" He replied shaking. He could of lost her.
"Is she okay?"
"Yes she is lying in bed right now however...the body...its still here"
"Okay, more people are on their way"
"See you soon"
"Bye, Mr Mulder"
Mulder put the phone down and returned to Scully on the bed. She was still wide awake.
"Are they coming?" Scully asked.
"They are on their way" Mulder said kissing Scully's forehead in reply.
Scully smiled "Mulder?"
"Yes, Scully" He said as he gazed at her smile at him.
"...Do you think...we will ever lead normal lives..." She laughed.
Mulder chuckled "I doubt it...but if we did I would spend all my days with you" He stroked her cheek and she closed her eyes.
"We will find William...I know we will" She said as she reached out for him with her arms as she wrapped them around him. He moved closer and wrapped his arms around her.
Mulder lost himself in her arms, and slept like a baby. Her however still awake.
She could sense William somewhere out there. The only thing she could do is pray that he was happy.
