This is a one-shot
"Honey are you okay? What happened to your face?" Maya's mother asked her.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I fell on the way back home" Maya lied.
Maya had a bully. Weird right? It's been the same girl her whole life. Mindy told Maya if she ever told anyone about it, she'd kill her.
Maya was at her locker.
Some slammed her locker shut.
Maya turned around making her waves bounce. "Not today Mindy"
Mindy pushed Maya hard on the locker and started to punch her left and right.
Maya tried to push her away but she was much taller and stronger.
She caused Maya a black eye and a busted lip.
She walked away madly.
The bell rang and kids rushed out the classroom. Maya had to hurry and go to the bath room but she was stopped by her best friends; Farkle, Riley and Lucas.
"Hey Maya" Riley smiled.
Maya covered her face with her hands. "Hi" She responded.
"Why you're covering your face?" Farkle asked.
Lucas tried to move her hands away, but she kept them glued to her face. "What's wrong Maya?" he asked.
"Nothing. Why would you ask that?" She tried to walk away but she bumped into his chest.
"Maya, what is it?" Riley questioned.
"I'll be right back" Lucas went into Mr. Matthews class.
"Sir?" Lucas walked in.
"Yes Lucas?" Cory answered.
"Something's wrong with Maya" Lucas left the classroom with Cory.
"Maya? What's wrong?" Cory asked.
Maya's hands were still attached to her face. She shook her head.
"I can talk to her" Lucas said to the group.
"Lucas I'm her best friend practically her sister" Riley spoke.
"I promise I got this" Lucas smiled.
Everyone left Maya and Lucas alone.
Lucas turned to Maya's direction.
He put his warm hands on her wrists and removed her hands slowly from her face.
"Maya, what happened to your face?" He asked her.
She looked at the ground. "I can't tell you"
"Yes you can, you can tell me anything" Lucas grabbed her hand.
She lifted her head and looked at him. "Mindy"
"Who's Mindy?" Lucas asked.
Maya pointed to Mindy across the hall.
Lucas turned his head and rushed to the girl.
"Lucas no!" Maya ran after him.
"Did you do that to Maya?" He growled at Mindy.
Mindy looked at her. "You told?"
Lucas grabbed Maya's hand and ran to the principal's office.
He told him everything. The police came 20 minutes later and arrested her for assault and bullying.
"Good thing you told Lucas. But you know you can tell me anything right Maya?" Riley asked.
"Yeah" Maya frowned.
"So why didn't you?" Riley questioned.
"Because she said she would kill me if I told anyone" Maya frowned.
"That would never happen!" Lucas and the others hugged Maya tightly.
