The Seven Sages gather 'round only to find
Link's desecrated body
In the Temple of Time.
Looking through a forest of green,
The Sages Seven walk away.
From the stone that marks the tomb
Of the Hero of Time.
A tear form's in Ruto's eye
As she thinks of herself
And her love for Link…
Looking from stars so bright,
The Three Goddesses of the land
View the tomb and they see
The great mistake they made.
Begging the great God of Time,
The Three try to avert their error.
The only way to save Hyrule
Is to change the flow of time.
The God of Time agrees.
The Three walk away slowly.
With a flash, they are gone.
They find themselves in the Temple of Time.
The 10-year-old form of Link
Walks inside the building.
Clutching in his small hands
The fabled Ocarina of Time.
The boy plays the Song of Time,
But the Three try to keep the door closed.
What they find is the Hero of Time
On the other side.
In desperation, they try to remove the Triforce of Courage
From the young boy.
They are too late.
The Master Sword is in the boy's hands, and he has disappeared.
So the Three are trapped forever, and Time repeats itself.
The Three cannot leave.
The Game begins and ends again,
And the Three know the feelings of Link.
Despair at being thrusted into a never-ending loop,
And fear for themselves…
Time has ended for this land,
The Three have lost the Game.
