PROLOGUE
A long, long time ago, a beautiful young girl was playing in a field of flowers. Her name was Persephone. All the world succumbed to her beauty, the forest creatures, the river she bathed in, the tall grass she ran in, even the rays of afternoon sun kissed her smooth skin. Day after day, the sunlight enveloped Persephone in its warmth, while Persephone cherished the sweet feeling. Their love grew so strong and pure that a child was born of their love, a baby child was a beatiful as Persephone herself. Her rich chocolate skin seemed to radiate comforting warmth. Heer hair was as black as a raven's feather, and softer than the finest silk. Her eyes were dark as well, and sparkled at the world around her. Her face was as delicate and beautiful as nature itself. Persephone named her Margarita, or Daisy, because that was where she had been born; she simply appeared, nestled in a patch of snow white daisies. The girl was half goddess and half sunlight. She was a mix between an immortal and a beauty of nature. Therefore Margarita was not immortal, but she aged very slowly. Hence, she was only three years old when her mother was taken by the god of the underworld. But, the animals showed her the same kindness and love they showed her mother, and they cared for her until her mother came back every spring. And so Margarita grew up in the forests and was raised by its creatures, and soon she was able to speak the language of every creature that came her way. She became more beautiful as she grew. Her night-silk hair grew long and wavy, and resembled the churning waves of the ocean when it blew in the wind. She became strong, quick, and agile, and learned the language of the wilderness. Margarita was kind as she was beautiful, and she helped those in need. She nursed sick and injured animals and helped lost heroes and travelers. However, Margarita was shy, so she never showed her face, instead leaving arrangment bif pointing towards a lost traveler's destination, or leaving morsels of food in their path. And for thousands of years she lived thus, aiding people when they needed it most, until one day she met a very special hero.
