Ok, this is just the first of a few one-shots I'm gonna write to help improve my writing style. If anyone has an advice for me, please write it in the review.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.

It was a beautiful summer day at the beach. The sky was a bright blue with only a few puffy clouds here and there. The sand was a reflecting the shiny yellow of the sun. The water was a clear blue-green with no seaweed to get in the way. It was a perfect day. Surprisingly, the beach wasn't that crowded. Sasuke, Sakura, and Ino were there playing football.

Sakura was wearing a blue bikini top and red shorts. Her pink hair was starting to grow out, so it reached her shoulders. Ino was wearing a pink and purple two piece swimsuit with a skirt. Her long, blonde hair was down from its usual ponytail, so it reached just below her waist. Sasuke was wearing black shorts. Not really much to say about him.

The football flew by and landed between two rocks that were being used to represent one of the end zones. "Alright, I scored," said Ino, smiling with excitement.

"Uh, Ino?" asked Sakura. "You scored in the wrong goal."

"Oh."

Sakura and Ino weren't that interested in playing. In fact, they didn't even want to play.

"You two are horrible at this," said Sasuke. "And it's not called a goal. It's an end zone."

"Well, I don't actually pay attention to sports."

"Can't we just go swimming?" asked Ino, trying to stop the argument before it happened.

"I agree with her," said Sakura, siding with her friend.

"But we all agreed on this," argued Sasuke. He obviously didn't want to lose an argument with a girl.

"No, we agreed that we would go to the beach. You didn't say anything about playing football. I mean really, how many people do you know who play football on the beach?"

Three people walked up to them: a boy with black hair, a boy with blonde hair, and a girl with red hair.

"Hey," said the blonde haired boy. "I'm Naruto. That's Sai and Karin. Can we play, too?"

"Of course," said Sakura, suddenly interested in the game. "My name's Sakura. It's nice to meet you."

"Same here," said Naruto, smiling at her. She clung onto his arm. "So, is that you're real hair color? Or did you dye it?"

"It's naturally like this. It's a weird color, isn't it?"

"It is but it's cute."

Sakura smiled at the comment. Most people thought it was strange, but he didn't.

"I'm Ino," said Ino, clinging to Sai.

He smiled at her. Not a fake smile, but a genuine smile. "You're beautiful."

Ino blushed when he said that.

"My name's Karin," said the girl, smiling at Sasuke. "What your name?"

"It's Sasuke," he said with no emotion in his voice.

She clung onto his arm, like Sakura and Ino did. Sasuke just pushed her off him. "Hey, what was that for?"

"I don't like it when people touch me."

"Oh really," said Karin, moving closer to him. He backed away from her. She followed him. In the end, Sasuke started running with Karin chasing after him.

"Uh, should we help him?" asked Sai. He knew what Karin was like and knew that Sasuke wouldn't be able to run from her forever. And she wasn't gonna give up.

"No," said Sakura and Ino, deciding they would rather be with the boys than help Sasuke.
