The avatar grinned as he pulled the sixteen-year-old blind earthbender along behind him. "Let go of me before I give you a black eye Twinkle Toes!" Aang laughed; he turned to face Toph, holding both her hands in his.
"Come on Toph! I want to show you something!" He said, Smiling goofily from ear to ear.
Toph heaved a large sigh. "You remember I can't see unless it's on solid ground right? Honestly. I think Snoozles is starting to rub off on you…" She shook her head.
The airbender chuckled as he approached the opening of the tunnel. He swooped The Blind Bandit off the ground and into his arms; one arm around her shoulder and the other under her knees "No peaking!" he teased, pulling her closer to his chest.
"Ha ha, Twinkle Toes, ha ha." Toph said sarcastically, giving Aang an annoyed glare. She crossed her arms over her chest. "Where are we going anyways?"
Aang stared up into the starry night sky; the moon was full and shined brightly over the world; like a warm blanket of soft, glowing light. It was almost midnight. The Avatar walked into the dark cave, he only had about five minutes left until midnight, five minutes left to prepare.
"Twinkle Toes!" The earthbender pounded her fist's against Aang's chest. "Where are we?"
"It's a surprise" He said simply as he set her down in a wooden chair wrapped neatly in pale green silk in front of a round wooden table covered in a white table cloth.
Toph pressed her bare feet against the solid earth. She began to 'see' everything around her; she also felt the vibrations on something burrowing around in the earth, which she recognized immediately. "Badgermole's" She cocked her head at Aang. "Twinkle toes? Did you-" Aang pressed his lips against hers, shutting her up.
He pulled back from the kiss "Happy new year Toph."
