WARNING: MAJOR HP SPOILERS AHEAD!
I loved this scene in DH (as I'm sure many R/Hr shippers did) and you requested it in Hermione POV, so here it is!
Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling and I do not own Harry Potter.
Ron stopped running so abruptly that Hermione almost ran into him. She stopped and turned to look at him as he spoke.
"Hang on a moment!" he said, "We've forgotten someone!"
"Who?" Hermione demanded. She was quite certain they had gotten everyone they needed to out of the castle and away from danger.
"The house-elves, they'll all be down in the kitchen, won't they?" he asked.
"You mean we ought to get them fighting?" Harry asked.
Ron rolled his eyes and Hermione glared at Harry.
"No, I mean we should tell them to get out. We don't want any more Dobbies, do we? We can't order them to die for us—"
Hermione's heart leapt when she realized that Ron was feeling sorry for the house elves, and that he was finally, after 3 years of her badgering, understanding what Hermione had been fighting for. Not only that, but he was also showing concern for someone other than himself, which was a reason to celebrate all on it's own. She couldn't have loved him any more than she did at that moment.
Dropping all the fangs she had gathered in her arm, she ran toward him, flung herself into his arms, and kissed him on the lips. There was a moments hesitation before he kissed back, dropping everything in his hands as well. He wrapped his arms around her and lifted her off her feet.
She thought he heard Harry say something, but he could wait. His tongue poked through her mouth and she obliged instantly, brushing her tongue against his. Ron had now steadied himself on his feet but had not let go of her from his arms.
"OI! There's a war going on here!"
Harry's shouting brought them back to earth. Hermione felt him pull away and was mildly pleased to see Ron smiling like a buffoon. If he hadn't begun talking, Hermione might have just grabbed him and continued to snog him, forgetting the fact that Harry was watching them and that there was a battle raging around them.
"I know, mate," Ron replied, continuing to grin like an idiot. "so it's now or never, isn't it?"
