Summary: There's one in all of us.
Ever since the beginning there has been temptation.
Depending on your views, the universe could have been a product of it. Created by two atoms giving into temptation, the immense pull of it. Smashing together in their passion, and birthing an entire existence. One that seemed intent on destroying itself.
Or maybe you go by The Book. Eve, the original sinner, was the first to give into it. Temptation taking the form of the most luscious of all forbidden fruits. She'd been helpless. And exiled for it.
There are songs about it. The stories that are told usually don't end happy, and yet every day people throw caution to the wind. They're powerless against it. And the apple is not the only forbidden fruit.
And as Brooke watched Sam swim to the side of the pool and pull herself out, the water teaming off her in sparkling droplets. Hair smoothed back, smiling at her shyly before turning her bikini-clad body away. Brooke knew for certain she wasn't going to fair any better than the sinners before her.
