Forget-Me-Not

By eternalsmiles

Five-year-old Sakura sat next to five-year-old Sasuke. Little Sakura held his warm pale hand while crying on his shoulder. Sakura's parents had just told her that she was moving to Suna.

"Sasuke-kun ….I-I…..don't want …..to move….,"Sakura cried softly on Sasuke's shoulder. Sasuke slowly ran his hand through her short pink bubble-gum hair.

"When are you leaving?"Asked Sasuke.

"Tomorrow."Sakura sniffled.

"Are we ever going to see each other again?"

Sakura shook her head."I don't… know…"

Sasuke closed his eyes. He didn't want to cry, not in front of anyone, especially her. If he cried it would only be harder for them to part. For awhile he kept his eyes closed, only the howl of the wind could be heard. Then he felt something soft on his left cheek.. His eyes flew wide open.

Slowly, he lift his hand to his cheek and felt the place where she had kissed him. Sasuke looked at Sakura and she blushed.

"Sasuke, I wanted you to have something to remember me,so I-I kissed you."Her blush deepened.

Sasuke hugged her.

Then he spotted something blue and white under the bench.

"Sakura, sit here. I'm going to give something to you."Sasuke went on all fours and crawled under the bench.

"Sasuke-kun, you're going to get all your clothes dirty."Then Sasuke stood up with his hands behind his back. Sakura giggled at Sasuke. His hair was covered with dirt and dried leaves.Sakura stood up and swept his hair.

"Sakura, if it's for you, I'll do anything."Then he revealed what was behind his back.

A bunch of white and blue flowers were in Sasuke's hand.

"Sakura, do you know what these flowers are called?"Sakura shook her head.

"Their called Forget-me-nots."Sasuke gave her the flowers.

"Sakura, their for you. Their not much but please forget me not."He walked away with a smile on his face. That perhaps would be the last smile she would see from him again.
