Ohello. ShannyRawr here! So, my last one-shot was GraLu. Here's to NaLu! I prefer one-shots, if you can't tell. For some reason, I have trouble writing longer stories. I'll try, though. Maybe. Eventually. ANYWAY. Enjoy. I just always thought this would be a cute moment.

"I would do anything to save you," I whispered, placing a gentle hand on his cheek and caressing lightly with my thumb. Natsu's dark eyes stared right into mine grimly. "Understand? I don't care how hard, painful, or impossible it is. I don't care if I have to die. I will always save you."
"Luce," he breathed, a tear falling from one eye. He leaned towards me, resting his forehead against mine. I smiled as he placed a hand on the back of my neck.
"You always save me, right? I mean, that's all you have time for, really. You never give me a chance to repay you. So now that I finally have a chance, I'm going to. You know, I would do it even if you hadn't saved me all those times. I would still do it."
"Please, don't," he pleaded quietly, closing his eyes and tightening his grip on me. "How could you expect me to keep on living without you; to keep on going in spite of knowing that you died because of me?"
I chuckled, "You're making this so dramatic. Who said I was going to die?" I pulled out of the embrace, shooting him a wide grin. "I'm not going down so easy. I'm just gonna save your ass; that's all."
He opened his eyes, which were wide, and I winked at him. Finally, after what felt like hours, he grinned back and quickly wiped away the tears. "Right; you better get to it."
I stood up and brushed the dust off my skirt. Placing my hands on my hips and giving him one last smile, I spun on my heels to face the antagonist, whispering under my breath, "This won't take long. Just wait for me until then."
Yeah. That was quick, right? Mehehe. I already told you above about my certain dilemma. :3
So, to be completely honest, I've thought about pairing quite a bit. Ya know, for the manga/anime. I feel like if Lucy and/or Natsu were to end up with anyone (which I already doubt is going to be put in... I think it'll leave it off for the imagination), it would have to be each other. It simply wouldn't make sense if they didn't. That's just my opinion, though. No one has to agree. :P
WELL. Reviews are much appreciated. My first published story/oneshot/document thing was awesome. I LOVE getting reviews. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who gets this giddy feeling while reading them. OKAY. BYE NOW~
