It wasn't often that the students of the private school Vocaloid got to see a new student. The school was known for it's hard to pass entry exam that could only be taken once every year, so how the new girl had even managed to change school halfway November remained a mystery.

Not to mention that she didn't leave a rather good first impression. She had already shown up ten minutes late on her first day while wearing the boy's uniform. When the history Teacher miss Diana had asked her what was the meaning of her appearance all the short teen had offered her as a response was 'motherfuckin' neighbour's dog'.
Once she had taken her seat, all she seemed to be doing was draw in her textbook.

Her classmate, Lenka Kagamine couldn't keep her eyes from the new girl's papers, she had been staring with big amazement at the girl's perfect manicured hands loosely holding her pencil and drawing the most adorable little things. She had just started drawing a Pikachu when their teacher made Lenka almost jump out of her skin.

"Miss Kagamine! Could you please explain to the class why gazing at your neighbour's notes is more interesting then the Spurs battle?" the teacher had already started the class in a bad mood and it seemed that this was the sort of mood that could only get worse and not better.

The young girl felt her face heating up and lowered her gaze, "I… I'm sorry, miss." She mumbled softly.

"Well, since you're so interested in my class, can you tell me what code the Flanders used to recognize a French man?"

All Lenka wanted to do was crawl under the biggest rock she could find and never come out, she looked around. Hoping that at least one of her classmates was kind enough to help her out. Sadly, the young Kagamine had no such luck; all they did was gaze at her with their bored eyes. This was history after all, she bit her lip. When she looked up again to meet her teacher's stern look, she knew there was no way she could get herself out of this. "…F-friend or… foe?" she

"Close, but No." her voice went up a few octaves, which woke up at least two more students. The teacher 's eyes skimmed over the class until they landed on the new girl who hadn't seen a word since she entered the class and had only been paying attention to her notebook. "Miss Zwart," some students held their breath, frightened for the new girl's already sealed faith.

The young girl's head snapped up, she had a carefree smile on her lips, one that would disappear soon, her classmates thought with pity.

"Since you've been paying so much attention to what I've been teaching, would you like to enlighten me and your classmates by explaining what code the Flanders used to identify a French man?"

"No prob!" Kuroneko nodded, "Vriend of schild, which translates to Friend or shield. Would you also like to know why or was that all? 'Cuz I can tell you why, you know how a Frenchmen speaks right?" she waited for her baffled teacher to nod her head before she continued, "They have this obvious accent that gives them away right away, and the Flanders used this code because when a Flander says it, it sounds like how I just said but, but when a Frenchman says it, it sounds more like, vrint of sckilt." She ended her little speech with a cocky grin that seemed to dare the old woman to ask her another question on this topic.

The teacher, proud woman that she was, needed only a few seconds to recover from the surprise and order her class to remain silent while she picked up her lesson as if nothing had happened, after she reminded both girls they should pay more attention.

Lenka cast a quick look over her shoulder at the new girl and saw that Kuroneko was drawing again, obviously she didn't care about what her teacher said.

"Miss Kagamine, if I catch you looking back, once more I'll sure you'll regret-" she stopped when the bell rang and realized she had wasted a good amount of class to getting angry at those two girls. Lenka didn't given her teacher much time to dwell on the subject, she had already packed all of her stuff when she noticed class would soon be over and headed straight towards the door.

While the new girl, was slowly following the rest while taking out her timetable, checking which class she had next.

"Ah miss Zwart,"

Said student halted mid-step while not looking up, not sure if she fully understood the piece of paper she was holding fully. She just decided to give up and follow one of her classmates, if she could remember what they looked like.

"You've been drawing the whole time during my class, you do know that is not a good way to start, right?" the old woman scolded her. "Then not to speak of your appearance, why are you wearing the boy's uniform in heaven's name?" she sounded more affronted by the fact that Kuroneko was wearing a boy's outfit then her not paying attention in class, which led to the blonde girl slightly narrowing her eyes once she realized what sort of person her teach really was. "Also, you're not allowed to dye your hair in class, she gestured at the girl's red highlights, "And those piercings-"

She groaned, knowing that by now all of her classmates wouldn't be nearby anymore, "Is that really all? 'Cuz I honestly am not in the mood."

The woman seemed to get even more furious when hearing this, but tried to remain calm, "Fine, I'll let you go for today because it's your first day, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for not knowing what you should and shouldn't wear."

"Sure, whatever," Kuroneko waved her off and was about to walk out of the classroom, she noticed the blonde haired girl waiting outside, a frown appeared on her face, she was about to ask what she was still doing here if the teacher hadn't stopped her once again. "I was wondering…" the old lady then spoke,

"Hm?" she looked over her shoulder at the old lady, how long before this hag retires?

"About the battle of the spurs, how come you… uhm, are so well informed?"

She smiled, "Do you speak Dutch, teach?"

"…W-well no, I teach History."

"Right, sure. Well my name, Zwart, it's Dutch for Black." She was glad her teacher wasn't so good with languages to realize her parents had literally called her Black Black, if you left a part of her name out. "My father has family in Belgium, they speak Dutch there. Now I'm sure you at least know a little bit of that country to know the Flanders live there." She smiled, that cocky smirk again that spoke stories without using actual words, and "I know the history of my father's country That's all." She left the part of her father talking for hours about his country and boring her family to death out.

She then left, leaving the teacher baffled behind, once again.

Once Kuroneko left the classroom, she let out a relieved sigh, "Man, that teacher is a pain in the ass."

"H-hi…" Lenka offered her a shy smile,

"Hi, uhm… Kagirine or something, was it?"

"Kagamine… uhm, actually, t-that's my family name, I.. I'm Lenka, nice to meet you."

Kuroneko nodded, "Alright, great!" she then said with a cat-like grin, "Lenka then, can you please guide me to our next classroom. Because y'see this piece of paper? It's useless!" she said while waving a piece of paper in front of the blonde haired girl, Lenka chuckled softly.

"The buildings can be quite complicated, I agree."

"Tell me about it, it took me so long until I figured my way out. And no one helped me!" Kuroneko sounded truly affronted while mentioning this, "Can you believe that? I addressed at least three students and five teachers but they all told me to fuck off."

When she saw Lenka's big eyes she made a loose gesture, "Alright, they didn't actually tell me to fuck off, but I'm sure that's what they meant. Now, I have biology next, help me!"

"O-oh, right!" the young Kagamine nodded, she quickly headed towards the stairs while trying to keep the conversation going. Which truly wasn't that hard she noticed, Kuroneko was kind and very easy going, if she noticed you struggling with finding a subject to speak of, she simply started talking in your place and made sure it was a subject both people could speak of.

Lenka halted once they had reached the door of their next class, "This is the biology classroom," she said and opened the door, it seemed that the teacher had already arrived. The young man with blue hair looked at them with big eyes, "Lenka, aren't you a bit late?"

"I'm sorry Sir Shion, It's just that… uhm…"

"I got lost," Kuroneko said and held up both hands, "Sorry 'bout that, big school, big school."

Sir Shion laughed, "It is indeed a big school, even I as a teacher still get lost,"

"But you're an idiot teach," a girl with long teal hair tied up in two ponytails sang with a carefree smile on her face, she was obviously just teasing the young man.

"Now, now Miss Hatsune, that isn't nice to say. Don't talk to your teachers like that," sir Shion laughed,

"What?! You're a teacher!? Holy crap dude!" Another boy acted like he was surprised, though you could easily see through the act.

Kuroneko quickly took her seat at an empty desk, she smiled when she saw Lenka had followed her and took the seat next to her.

"Anyhow, let me continue my class," Sir Shion said,

"What? Is this class?" the same guy spoke, other students giggle, even Sir Shion didn't seem bothered about it as he continued.

He didn't even say anything about Lenka talking to Kuroneko or students eating gum, he seemed nice, Kuroneko thought she rested her head on her desk while listening to the blonde.

When the bell rang, it went different then history class, a lot of students stayed behind to talk a bit more with teacher Shion, who some students even called Kaito.

Lenka gently grabbed Kuroneko's arm, Zwart-chan, would you like to have lunch with me?"

"With you?"

"W-well my brother and his friend will be there as well." She immediately added,

"As much as I'd wanted to make new friends," the girl sighed and left the classroom, now that she knew the place bit more, she headed towards the hallway with the lockers, to her own, "I don't want to see you people happily eating your lunch… while I forgot mine," she let out a soft whine, too be honest the girl could just hit herself for forgetting. Her father had to woken up earlier just so he could buy it for her, but in her hurry she had forgotten it, it was probably still waiting for her, lonely and cold on their wooden kitchen table. I'm sorry baby, mommy is coming for you.

"You forgot your lunch?" Lenka asked surprised,

The Zwart nodded, a sorrowful look in her eyes as she careless threw her books in her locker, not caring about the mess she had made.

The young Kagamine couldn't help but think just how out of place the new girl was in this school. In Vocaloid academy there were strict rules, not meant to be broken. Kuroneko broke at least more then three rules just by her appearance. Her nails were painted black and too long, her shoulder long blonde hair had red highlights, both her ears were pierced and then not to speak of her outfit. She didn't wear the tie that came with the boy's uniform, instead she had picked one of her own choosing, a black tie with a cat at the end.

Kuroneko was also rather short, Lenka then noticed.

She kind of felt guilty for not being able to help this girl, she knew that Zwart had another four hours ahead of her filled with scolding and judging looks. And she would have to deal with all of this on an empty stomach, how terrible! "I-I could offer you some of my food, but… it's not that much, y'see, I always share with my brother, Rinto… and thus…"

"Fine, I guess I'll go…" always fun to steal food from new made friends, she thought remembering stealing the food of her friends from her previous school. Most of the time she had to run for her life when doing this to Kogeinu, the older boy didn't like it when she stole his food and since he was in the athletics at school he was a lot faster than her.

"Ah there she is!" Kuroneko heard a high and feminine-voice behind her and before she could turn to see who it was, the owner of the voice ran to Lenka, "Nee-chan!" the girl whined, "I forgot my cell phone at home and can't ask mom if I can hang with my friends after school, could you please send her a message?"

Lenka blinked a few times at her younger sister, then giggled while petting her head. "Sure," she said as she grabbed her cell phone out of the pockets of her skirt. "What about Len's cell?" she asked while typing the message, her cell phone was old, Kuroneko noticed, it wasn't like the smart phone Tenchou had given her for her birthday. Not that she really cared, Kuroneko had been a big fan of her old Nokia, playing football with a cell phone was very fun. And it was even more fun when you could throw the cell at someone's head instead of picking up a rock. Her old cell had survived many things, but she had said goodbye to the poor bastard when she accidentally flushed it down her toilet. It was a good cell phone. She mentally saluted the old device.

Tenchou had bought her a new one because he pitied the way she sulked over it.

"And what does she say?" Rin asked,

"I just send it, give her some time to reply, geez." Lenka laughed,

Rin huffed, "It's because Len is such a jerk," she stuck her tongue out to someone standing behind Kuroneko, the girl widened her eyes a bit before they returned back to normal and she turned around to face the other stranger. His hair must have been as long as his sister's, shoulder length but he had it tied up in a short ponytail, just like Kuroneko his tie hung loosely around his neck, but the rest of his uniform seemed to be okay. Both of his hands were in his pockets as he gazed at his twin sister with bored eyes. When giving the boy's eyes a better look, she noticed that he wore eye contacts.

Checking people's eyes for contacts had become a habit once Kogeinu got his, it had fascinated her and Valshe how easily people could hide their bad eye sight with those small objects.

The boy noticed her staring at him and met her gaze, he offered her a polite smile which the girl quickly returned with a smirk, she looked back over her shoulder at Lenka who seemed to be reading her mother's reply out loud to a very displeased looking Rin. "…Therefore, Rin is not allowed to go." Lenka finished reading.

"Na, Na I can't hear you!" Rin whined.

To which Len sighed, "Rin, you knew this would be her reply. Mum ain't stupid, she knows you're trying to weasel your way out of it by making Lenka send the message." His voice was pleasant to listen to, Kuro thought.

Rin had a pout on her face, this one of course easily faded away when her eyes rested on Kuroneko, the other three students saw her eyes lit up immediately, "So you're the newbie everyone's been talking 'bout!"

"Everyone?" Lenka sounded a bit worried when asking this

"Well yeah, people talked about a new student that didn't care about wearing the uniform in the right way… OMG! Tell mom I want to give the new girl a tour around the neighborhood!"

Len rolled his eyes when hearing his sister's high pitched voice of excitement, "Rin!"

"Hm?"

"Can't we just go? Give up, you already made mom angry this morning with not cleaning up the mess you made."

Rin sighed, "I don't want to…" she groaned.

The two looked a lot like each other, the Zwart girl then noticed, twins?

"Anyway, we should go before lunch break is over." Lenka said to Kuroneko,

"I'm hungry," Kuroneko groaned,

"You can have some of my lunch like I told you,"

"What? Did you forget your lunch?" Rin asked,

Len looked up once again "Here," he said and handed Kuroneko his own lunch box. Kuroneko accepted it, her eyes big from surprise. "…. What…?"

"You can have it," Len then grabbed Rin's arm, "Ciao," he waved at both girls and left with Rin.

"Well…" Lenka spoke, "That's the first time Len offers food to someone,"

"PRAISE THE LORD AND HIS MIRACLES!" Kuroneko said in a loud voice; "I have food!" she showed Lenka the lunchbox with a big smile on her face, like a child with candy. Lenka burst out in laughter when seeing the catlike grin on Kuroneko's face, "Let's go to the roof, Rinto and Akaito are waiting."

So both girls headed to the roof, there Kuroneko met Lenka's older brother Rinto and their friend Akaito who was the younger brother of their biology teacher sir Shion, they looked a lot like each other, only was Akaito's hair red… did all parents give their kids names that sounded a lot like their siblings name?

"So I've heard you've already pissed of your history teach?"

"I'm amazed by how fast news travels around here, but yeah," she made V sign, "I pissed her off with my amazing knowledge of peasants fighting the French." She opened her lunch box and noticed that it was mostly filled with all sorts of sweet food, huh.

The rest of their lunch time was comfortable, Lenka and Rinto were making a list of food they had to buy after school for supper, and Akaito talked about the struggles of being the younger brother of everyone's favorite teacher.

When the bell finally rang, the two girls headed back towards their classes while the boys remained on the roof, lying about having a free period.

"So what do you think of them?"

"They're nice," Kuroneko spoke,

"I know, right!" Lenka chirped happily. "Anyhow, you can give me the empty box." She spoke and gestured at the empty lunch box Kuroneko was holding.

"Ah right," she was about to give it to Lenka but stopped halfway, "On a second thought, how about I'll clean it up and give it back tomorrow. Tell Len I'll make lunch for him tomorrow as a thank you,"

Lenka smiled, "You're actually way nicer than you look, huh."

The short girl frowned, "What do you mean with that?"

"Never mind," Lenka laughed, "I'm happy I talked with you,"

"Yeah, me too."

Somehow, her first day of school wasn't that bad as she had thought.
