"Azula?" I heard a small, timid, but very familiar voice. My head snapped up and I strained against the chains on my wrists and ankles. I was going to kill her. I tried to bend fire out of my mouth, but nothing happened. I screamed in frustration, remembering the tight corset they had put on me to restrict my air flow and my bending. The traitor stepped forward anyway, into the light where I could see her. Ty Lee had grown taller, her muscles were lean, and she had a very different attitude about her. This Ty Lee would not giggle easily or spend hours turning cartwheels. This was a new person.
"Azula, it's me. Ty Lee." She explained like I was stupid. Of course I knew who she was. I sat down on the floor, looking at her defiantly.
"I'm not a fool, Ty Lee. I know who you are. Why are you here? To gloat? Or to pity the poor, broken princess?' I the words twisted in my mouth as I spat them at her. She leaned back like they could physically hurt her.
"I- I just wanted to see you, Zula. I've missed you." Her voice got quieter and she looked at me with suddenly soft and vulnerable eyes. It had to be a trick. Even Ty Lee wasn't that soft and weak.
"My name is Azula, don't forget it. And don't lie to me. Why are you here? Who sent you?" I hissed at her. It was probably Zuko, checking up on me yet again. He was unfit to be Firelord. Even worse was Mai as Firelady at his side, betraying me with every breath. Ty Lee was just like them. A traitor.
"I mean it. No one sent me. I came just for you." She half-smiled and stretched out a hand to me. I didn't even look at it. She sighed. "I wanted to apologize. That day, at the Boiling Rock-" I lunged off the wall again at her. How dare she bring that up again. She wasn't sorry. She was a traitor. She leapt backwards, out of my reach. Traitor.
"I'm sorry, Zula, I'm sorry! Please forgive me! I've thought about you every day since then! I've wanted to visit for years but nobody would let me. I had to sneak in to see you! Zula, please!" she fell to her knees in front of me, her eyes swimming with tears. "I love you." She whispered, looking straight at me. It was all a ruse. There was no one I could trust.
"GO!" I roared at her. She looked at me one last time, imploringly, and left. Traitor. Fool.
