Vita Transcurrit
Shun is silenced. The world is fading in shades of grey. There is not a single sound. There are no animals. There is no wind.
The time is midnight. Shun is sitting on his bed. His legs are crossed. His hands are resting on his knees. He looks to be meditating. He is not. He is mourning.
The day is the annual day of mourning in the Kazami household. His mother died on this day. He has no intention of doing anything but mourn.
His life as a Brawler has brought hardships. He has not always had the time to mourn. At times he even questions his own role. As a Brawler he saves lives. As a Brawler he is a hero. As a Brawler he cannot always find time to mourn.
All warriors live their lives in such a way. His grandfather often tries to console him with tales of his comrades. The tales, though true, provide little comfort. Runo, Alice, Joe, Chan and countless have surrendered their Brawling ways. They do not save lives. They live their own lives.
He envies them.
He always has.
Author's Note: -Edited note : This is inspired very much by the song 'I Will Not Be A Hero' and Chinese Paladin 1 and 3, Xuan Yuan Sword and countless others of that much beloved genre : Edited note End- This was swift. I am pleased though. I hope that you are equally as pleased with this as I am. I thank you wholeheartedly for reading Vita Transcurrit. I vow to improve. Please accept my apologies if you did not find my work favourable.
