I Swear that I'm Straight- part 1

A light drizzling rain fell down upon the small run-down apartment complex as if it were only there to emphasize on how bleak of a situation the green-haired boy currently found himself in. At least, in his mind it was bleak, while all of his friends probably were feeling relief right about now and celebrating the end of the semester.

However, Izuku Midoriya was definitely not in the celebrating mood as he currently sat sprawled out on his old couch, both opened and unopened textbooks clustered around him throughout the room. He couldn't even bear to bring himself to look at them, knowing no doubt that there was no way that he had passed his exams a few hours earlier despite how he had studied to the point of passing out the night before.

The meer thought of it was enough to bring the feeling of dread to his gut, making him feel as though he was sinking and he could only hope that he had gotten well enough grades that we would still be able to pass his classes. He got here on a scholarship anyway and he literally could not afford for that to happen.

Izuku let out an audible groan as the door to his shared little apartment opened up.

"Honey, I'm home!" Came the cheerful voice of his best friend, Ochako Uraraka, as she trotted inside with a single grocery bag in hand. He felt that her smile was too bright in the dark room and it nearly hurt his eyes, luckily though as she turned to look at him, she gave a small pouty frown. "Yikes, you don't look too good, Deku."

"It's been a rough week." Izuku responded, wincing as he discovered that his voice was rough and sounded as though he had been crying. Had he? Izuku wouldn't put it past himself if that were the case.

"Well, I got more orange juice, if that'll help." Uraraka responded, her smile returning though it was smaller than before, as she held up the plastic bag in her hand. "I swear between the three of us, we must drink like ten gallons of this stuff a week."

"Unless, it'll give me good grades, it won't." Izuku couldn't help but whine as he rolled over on the couch to better face his friend, the young woman letting out a small huff at his response to her.

"We haven't even gotten grades back yet, Deku, have some faith in yourself." Uraraka said as she walked past towards their kitchenette that was attached right in their livingroom. "You studied a lot more than Bakugou or I and I think we did okay, so you'll probably have amazing grades."

While he appreciated the encouraging words, he just didn't think that it was going to be that easy.

"I don't know, I thought I'd do fine, but when I sat down with my test I just froze." Izuku mumbled, grimacing at the memory of it all. "I managed to finish it, but I really had to rush towards the end and now I just have a bad feeling about the whole thing."

Uraraka hummed to show that she had heard him as she sat the orange juice within the fridge before she walked back over to the couch.

"I'm really sorry Deku, but what's done is done and it won't do much help to dwell on it." She said gently as she sat down next to him on the couch. "You're gonna end up making yourself sick, you should just be glad that it's over and out of your hands."

"I guess..." Izuku responded with a shrug, though it was clear that he didn't entirely intend to do so. Uraraka looked at his mopey face and frowned, it was never a look that really suited him and she hated to see her closest friend looking like that, but then as Izuku could see a light go off in Uraraka's head a genuine smile grew onto her face.

"Hey, you've been working really hard for the past couple of weeks, you could really probably stand to let loose for a night." She said to him in a tone that suddenly had him worried about whatever she had planned. "You should come out with me and Katsuki tonight."

Deku frowned.

"I don't want to third wheel for you guys again, I'll be fine here by myself." He responded to her, finally managing the smallest of smiles while he looked away from her and towards the mess around their tiny livingroom. "You two have fun together, I'll stay and clean up the apartment or something."

"You won't be a bother, it's not even a date night!" Uraraka went on, showing that she was very clearly determined to get the young man out of their apartment for the night. "Kirishima's frat is having a huge end-of-the-semester party so of course Bakugou is going to go and I'm tagging along because I've been stressed over final exams too, but now they're done with and we all need some way to relieve this excess stress."

Izuku didn't like to admit that she had a point, but the offer still rubbed him the wrong way.

"I guess you're right-" He said.

"I always am."

"But, you know that I'm not much of a party-goer, I get shit-faced drunk after like two drinks." The green-haired boy went on in an attempt to talk the both of them out of it.

"Then don't drink, you can be our designated sober for the night." Uraraka said, which made Izuku feel his resolve slip away even more as he looked over into her hopeful eyes. She was a hard person to say no to, and it's honestly probably the reason why her relationship with her boyfriend has lasted so long.

"Why does Kaachan even keep doing all this stuff with Kirishima's fraternity, I thought he turned down their offer to let him join." Izuku questioned in a way that let Uraraka knew that she already had her hooks in him, as per the usual.

"You know how he is, Deku." Uraraka said with a fond smile. "Katsuki is kind of like a lone wolf that prefers to be left to his own devices, doesn't want to be tied down by anything, but he will aggressively go out of his way for you if he cares about you. He won't admit it, but he likes all the frat brothers and he's almost like an unofficial member."

"Yea, that sounds about right, but I think you're wrong of one thing about that statement." Izuku responded, getting a confused head-tilt from his friend. "There's one thing he doesn't mind being tied down to."

This caused a blush to appear on Uraraka's face as she brought up her hand to pat at her heating face.

"Oh, yea." She said, trembling smile appearing on her face. "I still can't believe that he asked me out that one time."

"I can't either." Izuku said with a single laugh at the memory, to say that he was surprised when he first heard that his best friend started a relationship with his childhood friend/ex-bully was an understatement. And now, out of all odds, they were all living together inside of a tiny apartment, but it worked and they were actually pretty happy about the arrangement, even though a few arguments were still to be had here and there. Usually, when that happened, someone would remove themselves from the situation before it could escalate into something that someone would end up regretting. Bakugou and Izuku still had a rather rough relationship, but it definitely was getting better with the help of Uraraka.

"Hey, Deku." Uraraka suddenly said, her voice soft which brought back his attention as he strained to hear her more clearly. "You know, you don't have to go with us, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable and end up not having any fun though I still think that you should try to do something tonight to help ease up. It's not healthy to keep this much stress in you and I'm worried that it'll end up taking a couple of years off of your life."

Her genuine concern in of itself was comforting and made him feel just a tiny bit better, making him realize that he had played right into her trap. Izuku let out a tired sigh.

"Fine, I'll go, but only for a couple of hours I don't want to stay out too late." He finally relented as he thought that maybe going out tonight with friends really would be just the thing that he needed to bring him back to his usual self. At this, Uraraka beamed.

"Really?! I mean, really you don't have to go, but if you're positive about it then I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun." She said, trying to stay neutral on the matter, but ultimately failed as Izuku caught on to just how excited his dicision had made her. If anything, knowing that his friend was happy was enough to cheer him up. "Plus, this'll probably be your last chance to say bye to all of our friends before they head home for the summer, I'm sure that Kirishima and Kaminari invited everyone so most of them will probably be at this party."

Uraraka did have another point there, with the semester finally over and summer break happening, most of the student body was returning home to their families. Izuku didn't think that he had too many people that he could call close friends, just Uraraka and Iida (maybe Bakugou on a good day), but he still did occasionally hang out a group of friends that he did have fun being around so he assumed that it couldn't hurt to see them off. The thought made Izuku huff out a sigh with the brief feeling of homesickness as he would be staying at the apartment for most of the summer, it was off-campus and they had paid for it with their own money. It wasn't perfect, but it was home now, even if living out on their own was scary at times and made Izuku want to drop everything and go running back home to his mother's open arms. He really missed her, he would definitely take a week off of work during the summer so he could go visit her.

"Deku, you're mumbling." Uraraka pointed out, bringing his attention back to her as she snapped back from his daydreaming.

"Oh sorry." He said. "I was just thinking that you have a point and I would like to say bye before everyone leaves, at least to Iida and maybe Tsuyu and Shinsou too. Do you know if they're coming?"

"Mm, I'm not too sure, but you could probably text them to see." She suggested to which Izuku just responded with a shrug.

"I'll probably just wait to text them till we get there, it might make me change my mind." He said with a smile, laughing nervously as his best friend grinned at him.

"This is going to be so much fun!" She cheered, tightly clutching her hands together before she suddenly got a sly look to her face that made Izuku gulp and reminded him of why she and Bakugou were actually kind of perfect for each other. "Also, who knows, you might just get some cute girl's digits."

She winked and Izuku could feel his entire face light up as he quickly tried to wave Uraraka off.

"Y-You know that I don't want to date right now!" He said, hoping that she didn't hear his voice crack. "It's only our first year of college and I want to focus on my studies, plus there's my job at the corner shop..."

"Geez, I just said get some girls' numbers not that you had to like marry them or anything." Uraraka giggled much to Izuku's horror. "Plus, our first year of college is technically over and we'll be going into our second year. Come on, you haven't been in a relationship since like late first year of highschool, did it really end so terribly to put you off on dating forever?"

He dated a few times in highschool actually, but each time something felt off about the relationship, and each time he would realize that he prefered being just friends with whatever girl he had been with; Uraraka was on that list, she was the first girl he dated, his first kiss and the only one that was still willing to put up with him after the break up. They both agreed that they worked better as friends, anyway.

"No, it's not that." Izuku said with a small frown. "I'm just not really too interested in having flings, if I date someone I want it to be for the long haul, and also I haven't actually met anyone that really made me feel things."

"Dang..." Uraraka said, impressed with Izuku's maturity when it came to dating as he didn't exactly sound like the typical college student, though she wasn't at all surprised given the green-haired boy's personality; when he cared for someone he gave his all for that person and it would made sense that he should end up with somebody that did the same for him. "So when you say that you haven't met anyone that made you feel things, do you mean emotionally or-"

"Please stop talking!"

"Hmm, could that be why you're so stressed all the time? Do you need to get some action, Deku? You know, the hanky panky?"

"No, no I don't need to get... Get laid!" Izuku screamed out, just as luck would have it, at the same time as the sentence left his mouth the door to their apartment opened up.

Izuku's face was beat red as Uraraka howled out in uncontrollable laughter, Bakugou staring at him with cold and unamused eyes... Judging him.

This was going to be a long night.

"Look, nerd, I don't want to talk about your sex-life either, but let's be real here." Bakugou was saying from the driver's seat of the blond's old run down vehicle, Uraraka giggling from where she sat next to him in the passenger's seat while Deku was red-faced in the back with his head in his hands. "It probably would remove that stick up your ass."

"There's no stick up my..." Izuku trailed off with a tired sigh as he sat up straight. "Look, I already said that I'd try to have fun tonight, in my own way, so can we please stop talking about this?"

"In your own way, usually means crying in the corner by yourself why some douchebag steals your girl." Bakugou retorted with a snort as Izuku is forced to remember that one wild party back in highschool, he had hated it even more back then, the cops had even eventually been called.

"That doesn't really count, she wasn't even 'my girl' anyway." The green-haired boy said in defense as he nervously twiddled his thumbs together. "She was my partner for a science project and I needed to get her number so we could talk about it, is all."

Bakugou scoffed and acted as though he wanted to say something else, but ultimately didn't as his girlfriend gave him a rough shove, though to the blond it probably only felt like a light tap.

"Stop it, you two." She said as she looked from Bakugou and towards Izuku. "There's going to be no arguing or fighting tonight, okay? We're here to relieve stress and have fun with all of our friends."

"Yes, ma'am." Both of the young men said in unison much to Uraraka's amusement, the brunette using the sudden silence that had rose up to lean back in her seat and take a small rest before they got to their destination.

It didn't take long however as their car soon enough pulled up to the fraternity's house, the lights flashing various colors as people a crowd of people stood around outside, some of them walking through the front door and some walking out of it. Bakugou grumbled as he was now forced to find a parking spot all the while trying not to hit party-goers with his car as Izuku let out a small whine and tried to make himself sink into the backseat's upholstery. There were a lot more people there than he had originally thought that there'd be and he wasn't too sure that he would be able to meet up with his friends as easily.

"It's not even the official time yet and people are already going hardcore." Uraraka pointed out as the trio watched someone dart across the street wearing nothing but boxers and a cape. "Exams must have been super hard on everyone this semester."

Finally deciding to park the car a couple of blocks away so no one would get any wise ideas to slash their tires or something of the like, the small group got out of the vehicle and began their trek over towards the house, no longer raining but still very much cloudy outside the humid summer air caused their clothes to cling against their skin. Bakugou drapped his arm over Uraraka's shoulders, who in turn put her own around his waist, while Deku trudged along behind them dragging his feet with a small frown on his face. He should have known that he would have ended up third-wheeling tonight despite his best friend's claims otherwise; it was just the usual for whenever the three of them got together to hang out without anybody else in their group. He really hoped that Iida was at the party to hangout with, since the other young man didn't drink and wasn't into the whole party scene either just like Midoriya, the two usually stayed with each other in the rare cases when they were both at parties. The only reason that Iida even went sometimes was just to play as a kind of chaperone that took car keys and hid sharp objects whenever he felt as though someone was getting a little too hammered to take care of themself.

It wasn't the most glamorous of self-proclaimed jobs, especially when having to deal with angry drunks, but usually during the morning after while you were hunched over a toilet and Iida was there to hold you're hair back and get you some water; well, the party goers truly did appreciate him in those moments.

Izuku casually pulled out his phone to send his friend a quick text before stuffing it back into his pocket so he could hurry up in his pace to catch up with Uraraka and Bakugou. The two of them had already made it to the walk-way leading to the front door so he quickly hurried along, not wanting to fall behind and have to deal with the group of people that were meandering about outside as he had not recognized any one of them.

Upon finally reaching his friends' side, the trio entered the house to loud music blasting all around them and painfully bright fluorescent lights going crazy, someone that sounded oddly similar to Bakugou's friend Mina Ashido was screaming out song lyrics loudly in the distance. The crowd itself had gotten a hundred times worse than it was outside, people standing close enough to each other that their shoulders were touching and it took all of Izuku's strength not to let out an audible sign of distress. Instead, he just took a hold of Uraraka's hand, worried that he would otherwise get separated from her; she gladly returned the gesture, clutching his fingers as if they were her only lifeline in this mess.

"Hey, I'm going to go find Kirishima, I think he's in the basement." Bakugou called out, his loud voice perfect to cut above the music, as he turned towards the other two giving them a look that said 'so don't embarrass me.'

"Alright, we'll get us some drinks and then go find you." Uraraka replied, her soft voice getting surprisingly loud as well in order to assert her dominance over the noise, this got a genuine smile out of her rash boyfriend. Grinning, Bakugou sat a fond hand on top of her head before turning to flee without another word, which was just about as much affection as he usually willingly showed in public. Once again, Izuku was left to wonder how exactly their relationship worked, but he didn't vocally question it; doing so was probably a bad idea and plus, his two friends did seem to be honestly happy with one another so he would just leave it as is.

"Let's go!" Uraraka suddenly said, bringing him out of his revere as she roughly pulled on his hand, dragging him along with her as she weaved through the crowd in search of where the kitchen was. They had been in this frat house many times before, both during parties and not, but each time they entered it was just a little bit hard to maneuver around. Iida was tempted to hire a house maid for them, but always decided against it whenever Kaminari expressed joy for the idea in all of the wrong reasons.

Eventually, the two entered a hallway that was a lot more spacious than the livingroom and entryway, the only person there being Sero who was currently passed out on the floor. The two carefully stepped around him as they passed by the glass door that lead out to the backyard without giving it much thought, their hands carefully remained intertwined less they suddenly get swamped by another group of people and get accidentally split up.

Taking a quick left, they entered the kitchen, barely giving any mind to the several other people that were currently loitering around probably taking a break from the madness in the other room. Uraraka finally released Izuku's hand, much to his horror, so she could casually trot over to where a couple of coolers were set up; bending down, she opened one up and curiously peered on into the inside of it.

"What do you want to drink, Deku?" She asked curiously as she began to dig her hands through the ice.

"I'm fine right now, I might get a soda later." He responded, which only got a hum from his friend as she continued to look for something for her and Bakugou. Izuku watched her for a few seconds before he turned away to look elsewhere, and also to make sure that there were no sketchy individuals around that might try to hit one her; they learned rather quickly to have each other's backs whenever they came to these kinds of things.

Luckily, it seemed that most of the people in the room were much more focused on their own things, he even recognised a couple of them from one of his classes.

"Oh, hey Ojiro, Tokoyami, I didn't see you two." He said with a friendly smile and a wave, to which the other two gladly returned.

"Hey, Midoriya." Ojiro said, a friendly grin on his face while his black-haired company silently sat on the kitchen's countertop and watched quietly from afar. "Didn't expect to see you here."

"Yea, I kind of got dragged into it." Izuku responded while nervously scratching the back of his head.

"It happens, as is why I am here as well." Tokoyami said with a disappointed sigh. "I've honestly better things to be doing, some of us have living-breathing responsibilities you know."

Ojiro shook his head at that, while Izuku gave a small nod in agreement.

"Oh yea, Tokoyami, how's that baby bird you found?" Izuku decided to ask, finding the conversation with his friends to be rather calming.

"He's doing amazing, I've nursed him back to full health and he is no longer on death's door." Tokoyami said, the smallest of smilest appearing on his face as though he was thankful for Izuku's concern. "I have given him the name of Dark Shadow and dare I say that I love him as my own son."

"That's great, I'm glad it turned out okay." Izuku said with a grin. "I was so sure that he was a goner when we found him in that cat's mouth."

"He's a fighter, no feline can hold him down."

"Geez, you guys, you remember that you're talking about a crow right?" Ojiro asked with an amused chuckle, though there was no malicious tone within his voice. "Really, Tokoyami, your son? Are you going to teach him how to fly?"

"Crows are incredibly smart, I'm sure he'll be flying even before his first words." The black-haired man said as he crossed his arms over his chest, unamused. "However, if he struggles with it for whatever reason then so be it, I'll try my hardest to teach him the ways of flight. Just as long as we train as far away from your dorm and that devil-cat as possible."

"Shinsou said that he was sorry, he doesn't know how she got out of his room!"

"Unlikely story-" The two began to bicker much to Izuku's exasperation and Uraraka's amusement, the girl having fetched her drinks and was now leaning against the kitchen's island probably not in the mood to traverse through the crowd one more just yet.

"Oh hey, speaking of Shinsou, is he here?" Izuku decided to ask in an attempt to change the subject and because he was genuinely curious if his purple-haired coffee-addicted friend was there or not.

"Ah, no, he said he had a very important rendezvous with an ex-lover or something though Tsuyu is here lurking around somewhere." Tokoyami said with a scoff as he shook his head, much to Izuku's confusion as he focused on the part about Shinsou as the other young man wasn't exactly one much for relationships much like himself.

"And by that, he meant that he was going to go home and sleep tonight." Ojiro said with a nervous chuckle as he could see the look on the other's face, oh, that made a lot more sense. "He's been living off of energy drinks and potato chips for like a month in order to thoroughly study for exams."

Now that was a next level of dedication that Izuku didn't think we ever wanted to reach no matter how badly he wished for the best of grades.

"I should probably visit him after the party to make sure he's alright, that kind of life style can put you in an early grave." Ojiro said, tone worried for his friend while Tokoyami nodded at him in agreement.

"Well, when you do, tell him that I hope he has a good summer." Izuku said with one of his earnest smiles, then adding on as an afterthought. "And that he should probably see a doctor."

Ojiro laughed.

"Yea, sure, I'll do that." He said then pausing as if something else crossed his mind. "Well, we should probably head back to the party now and find Tsuyu before she gets into any trouble by hanging around with Ashido."

Even the most responsible of people, it seemed, would always end up getting involved in some wild antics whenever they started to hang out with Bakugou or one of his friends. So Izuku understood and nodded to them in agreement, while Uraraka moved the drinks around in her arms in order to free her other hand immediately clutching onto Izuku's arm.

"We'll come with you! I've got to get this drink to Bakugou anyway." She said with a grin as Tokoyami smoothly slid off of the counter top, getting ready to take his leave with Ojiro, the sudden thought of having to go back into that crowd causing Izuku to plant his feet right into the ground. He refused to move even as his best friend gave him a light tug, trying to pull him along with her. Uraraka gave him a look, concern flashing on her face as he attempted a nervous grin.

"You guys should go, I'll catch up." He said and finally Uraraka frowned.

"Are you sure about staying here by yourself?" She asked him to which he gave a sure, as sure as he would be, nod in response.

"I just need to sike myself up for a little bit, there's a lot more people out there than I thought there'd be." Izuku said to which his friend finally let go of him to follow after Ojiro and Tokoyami, he knew that she would be safe with them.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think there'd be this many people, I probably would have stayed at home with you if I did." Uraraka said with a sigh as though she missing the sudden thought of having a pizza night with Netflix, of course.

"Don't be, I'm sure we'll start to have fun once the crowd disperses a little." He said as though he were sure of it and she didn't haven't any reason not to believe him as people around here usually went a little too hard a little too fast.

"Alright, but seriously, come find us if you need help with anything. Don't forget to make smart choices tonight!" Uraraka responded to which Izuku gave her an 'of course' before saying his goodbyes to the other two and wishing them a good summer just in case they didn't cross paths again that night. Once the group had left from his sight, Izuku took in a deep breath, counted to five, and then released it in an attempt to calm his nerves. It helped, if only a little bit, the green-haired boy easing up as he leaned against the island just as Uraraka did before him.

While doing this, he checked his phone, seeing that he had a message from Iida; checking it, he found that his friend was apologizing to him for not being there tonight. Apparently he had left early to spend more time with his family, this making Izuku give a small smile as he responded that it was quite alright before shoving his phone back into his pocket.

The kitchen was even more empty than before and it was almost soothing, even with the dull rumble from the music and screaming college students in the other room something about it was almost peaceful. Almost being the key word here, as a few people came and went and Izuku tried his best to stay out of their way which he had managed for the most part.

However, as he stood there, the minutes passing by, he came to the realization that he really couldn't just stand there for the entire night and with a sigh he pushed himself off of the island's ledge and made his way over to the door. Cautiously he leaned forward out of the kitchen and into the hallway, taking a peek at it to see if much had changed, only to see that things were the same with Sero (and perhaps a few extra cups around him) still laying in the middle.

Izuku just shook his head as he finally exited the kitchen, moving to the hallway to stand around and do nothing instead, this way he told himself that he was slowly working his way up and towards the entryway that lead into the livingroom where the actual party was. It was all about the baby steps, after all, the night still being young and thus he felt like he was able to take his time in joining the others. Izuku slowly made his way down the hall, passing by the backdoor once again without giving it much of a second thought, though that would soon change as suddenly a herd of drunk college students seemed to begin their migration from the livingroom and into the hallway cheering about getting more drinks from the kitchen. The event even seemed to cause Sero to stir from his spot on the ground, like some sort of alcohol zombie.

Izuku let out a small yelp, not really wanting to deal with that mess by trying to squeeze past everyone, so he instead did the only sensible thing that he could have thought of to do. The green-haired boy quickly ducked out onto the back patio by slipping out of the glass door, figuring that he could just wait for the small crowd to pass on by before returning inside. That was a smart idea, right? Izuku wasn't sure, and had the slightest feeling that he was overexagerating and just being overly antisocial, but he honestly just didn't feel up to dealing with this many people and in hindsight he probably should have thought about that before coming. He just couldn't say no to Uraraka though, that was probably his biggest weakness.

At least the night was rather nice out, the heat from earlier had began to subside, even though it was still a tad bit humid out, as was expected from the beginning of summer. The patio was mostly dark, only the lights shining out from the house's windows providing any sort of illumination. In the shadows, Izuku could tell that the patio itself was nothing too special, just a slab of concrete surrounded by an old brick railing that separated it from the yard, which was equally as unimpressive. Izuku didn't know how long the various equipment to build a pool had been laying out there on grass, but he was sure that it had been more than a few months and still yet no pool, he doubted they would ever get around to doing that. Aside from that, the only other thing out there were a dusty old glass table and several lawn chairs all thrown about, and also... A person?

Izuku bit his lip to hold back the noise of surprise that had just nearly escaped his mouth, he had hardly noticed the other as they leaned against the railing covered in shadows.

"Oh, huh-" Izuku stammered out, noticing how the other person appeared to tense up as the words left his mouth.

"I told you that I wanted to be left alone." A man's voice met his ears, deep and raspy almost as if he had been crying, but as the other turned around to face Izuku with a look of distaste on his face he knew that not to be true. The green-haired man felt a shudder go down his spine as the other's face was lit up ever so slightly by the lights coming from the door. His glare was piercing and it was very clear that he was upset about something, though as his eyes met Izuku's his expression became one of surprise instead, almost as though he had been expecting somebody else instead.

Despite this, Izuku began to stammer out in fright, worried he would end up getting into a fight with some random stranger.

"My mistake, I'm sorry!" The young man all but shouted out as he hurriedly backed up, the other opening up his mouth as if to say something else, though slowly closing it once more with a frown as if he had decided against it. Izuku didn't hesitate another moment and hurriedly turned tail to rush back inside, not even waiting to see if the stranger had anything else to say, tripping on a lawn chair in the process as he fled.

Upon getting back inside, Izuku shut the door behind him, looking around to see that the hallway was completely empty once again; he finally allowed himself to let out a breath of air. This party had surely gotten off to the most strangest of rocky starts, but he guessed that that was okay, as he thought of that guy all by himself out there he came to the realization that he was tired of being alone tonight. It was finally time to brave the crowd and go find his friends, he didn't want to be the reason any of his friends had a bad time and he knew that Uraraka would do just that if she ended up worrying about him all night.

Pushing himself forward, Izuku allowed himself one last look towards the patio door before he started to head on over towards the livingroom, pushing the thoughts of the loner from his head so he could move on from the encounter and enjoy his time with his friends. As much as his anxiety would allow him, anyway.

Or at least, that's what he had tried to do.

Uraraka had been glad when he had finally joined up with her, she was in the midst of jumping up and down with Tsuyu on the dance floor, the two girls quickly pulling him along with them. Izuku didn't complain as he forced a smile and jumped along to the beats with his two friends, though something remained to be nagging at him in the back of his head and no matter what he couldn't shake it. It had even gotten to the point where this feeling pushed away all of his insecurities as he found that he only began to focus on this one thought instead of all the others that had plagued him up until this point.

If Uraraka or Tsuyu had noticed, they didn't say, though they had probably only chalked it up to him still being a bit nervous about the crowd. They tried to be understanding and didn't push him to do anything that he was uncomfortable with, repeatedly asking him if he was still doing okay, to which he would always smile and nod, unable to tell them the feeling that was plaguing him for he himself was unsure what exactly it was.

It was until around thirty minutes lately, when he noticed Kirishima casually sitting by himself on the top of the stairs that he realized what it was that had been bugging him. He continued this trail of thought even as Bakugou passed him by, growling at him to lighten up, before he joined the red-haired guy on the steps; Izuku's hand flying up to rub at his chin as he mumbled to himself.

His thoughts found their way back to the guy he had a run in with outside, he was sure of it that that was the reason he felt so off, almost as if something had been pulling at him. He had never seen this guy before, at least he didn't think that he had as it was a little too dark to tell if he had seen him in one of his classes or around campus before, and yet he couldn't stop thinking about him. Even though he had expressed anger towards Izuku, even if it it had been misguided, something about the way he held himself seemed so incredibly sad to Izuku. He couldn't pin-point what exactly it was, but he was most definitely sure that this mysterious man was probably having an even worse night than he had been.

Izuku really hoped that this guy was doing alright.

"Hey are you okay?" Uraraka suddenly asked, getting Izuku to jump in surprise before he turned to her with a small grimace on his face.

"Yea, I'm just a little distracted right now." He answered her, which wasn't entirely a lie, but he didn't really feel like bringing up the man that was currently in his thoughts. Was it weird for him to be thinking about him? Possibly.

"Remember, you can still go home early if you want." Uraraka said with a thoughtful smile and Izuku didn't have the heart to complain to her that she and Bakugou were his ride.

"I think I'll be fine, I'll probably go get a soda to drink in a little bit." He said to which she seemed to take as an answer as she nodded before running off to go join Tsuyu again. Izuku let out a sigh as he found himself walking back towards that hallway, casually waving at a couple of his acquaintances as he passed by, hoping that maybe getting something to drink would help to put his mind at ease. However, as he entered that long stretch of hallway again, his eyes immediately shot over towards the backdoor and he couldn't help but to wonder if that guy was still out there. If had been nearly an hour since then, so he didn't think that he would be, but he also had not seen anyone at the party that could have resembled what he thought the guy to look like. Of course, it had been a little too dark to see, but the guy gave Izuku a feeling that he could not describe and no body else he ran into at the party gave the same emotions off.

Izuku approached the glass door and he knew that it would be best for him to keep on walking, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so as he paused right at the door to look out of it. A part of him was really hoping that the guy was gone now, but there was an almost equally large part that was praying that he was still there, for whatever reason, Izuku didn't understand why this was so important to him as he was quite sure that this was something that he should probably mind his own business about. However, he loved to help people and if this guy needed anything, he would be willing to go out on a limb for him. And it was definitely not because his deep voice kept ringing inside of Izuku's head, sending an unfamiliar feeling to the green-haired man's chest. Nope, it definitely wasn't that.

Luckily, Izuku's question was answered as he gazed out onto the patio and noticed the smallest of moment, a light gasp escaping the young man's mouth as he noticed the mystery guy still standing out there leaning against the railing. However, this time he seemed to be less tense as his head hung low and his shoulders slumped, causing Izuku's heart to sadly squeeze with a frown appearing on his face.

He was still there and appearing to be much worse off, but now what was he to do? Izuku didn't think that it was just a good idea to pop back out there with no good reason other than to bother a man that seemed to be wanting to be left alone. Should he just leave him to it then? That thought rubbed Izuku the wrong way, so with a hum he suddenly had an idea and hurriedly trotted off toward the kitchen where he had been going initially. Once there, Izuku had to dodge several people before he could reach the cooler than contained the soda, crouching down to open the lid he was relieved to see that it was still pretty full; though in the back of his mind, he screamed about how that was bad since it meant that more people were choosing the alcoholic options. Dang, exams really were killer this semester.

Grabbing two basic sodas, neither being of a brand that he recognized, he stood back up and scuttered along before anybody could stop him for something. He didn't know why, but he felt like he had to hurry along, before the mystery man vanished forever and he would be left with a sea of questions with no answers. At least, that's the reason he told himself why he was doing this, anyway.

Exiting the kitchen, he walked back over towards the backdoor, pausing only briefly to see that the man was still out there from where he gazed out of the door's glass window. Taking a deep breath, Izuku gathered up whatever courage that he could muster as he reached forward and grabbed a hold of the doorknob, slowly slipping outside without making much of a sound. Shutting the door behind him with a gentle click, the green-haired man took a few cautious steps forward before coming to a stop at a respectable distance away.

"Hey, sorry to bug you, but would you like something to drink?" Izuku asked quietly, noting how the other man appeared to flinch slightly at the sudden sound of his voice, before he turned his head to look at him with distrusting eyes. Izuku put on his best smile, despite how nervous that he must have felt, and reached out with one of the soda cans in his hand; the other glancing down to look at what he was being offered, his glare easing up ever so slightly once he saw that it was only a soda and nothing more.

"Sure, thank-you." The man said in that voice that made Izuku's emotions feel things that he couldn't exactly explain, as he cautiously took a hold of the can, careful to not touch Izuku's hand almost as if he was unsure about entirely trusting the other. "You didn't have to..."

"I wanted to." Izuku said, glad that it was still a little too dark even with the low-light to be able to see very well, as he was sure that his face was heating up from embarrassment. The other man let out a small thoughtful hum as he turned back away to leaning against the railing, opening up the soda and taking a small sip with his gaze glued towards the yard as if he were avoiding any eye-contact with Izuku at all costs. Meanwhile, Izuku contemplated on whether or not he should leave now, thus he just stood there with a dumbfounded expression as he looked towards the other man with worried eyes.

From what he could see the other was about a head taller than him, though it didn't quite seem that way with the way that he was holding himself; attempting to make himself smaller as though he wanted to be anywhere else but there and Izuku could definitely relate. Carefully, the green-haired man cleared the distance between them and went to lean up against the railing as well, though he still made sure to keep a respectable few feet between the two of them. Izuku curiously shot a glance towards the other, squinting to make out some of his features and only being able to take note of his two-toned hair and the fact that there was a blotch over his left eye; some sort of scar or birthmark, Izuku couldn't really tell, but he chose not to ask. He would continue to respect the other's space as he looked away and quietly opened up his own soda to take a drink from it.

His mysterious companion's head seemed to tilt ever so slightly in his direction as he glanced over at him. A few silent moments went by.

"Shouldn't you be getting back to the party?" He had asked, still coming off as intimidating, but Izuku could tell that he had not meant the question maliciously and so he gave a small smile.

"Oh, I'm not really much of a party person, crowds make me nervous." Izuku said, keeping his eyes adverted as her let out a small chuckle.

"Then why would you come here?"

"My best friend talked me into it." Izuku answered honestly with a shrug. "Finals were stressful and she said that this would help me eliviate my anxiety or something like that."

"Isn't it having the opposite effect though?" His companion asked bluntly to which he gave a nervous nod. "That doesn't sound very helpful to me."

"Yea, not my greatest idea." Izuku mumbled as he finally stole a glance towards the other young man, catching the other's intense stare, the light from inside the house casting a light glow that was reflected against his dark eyes. The sight made Izuku gulped and whisper out. "I hope you don't mind if I say out here for a bit, though I can leave if you want to be alone."

Izuku's heart pounded in his chest as the other looked away, seeming to contemplate over an answer, while the green-haired man's thoughts swam a mile a minute. He knew that he should probably leave this stranger alone, but as he thought about his first encounter with him and how upset he had seemed to be, he couldn't help but to meddle in things that he did not belong.

"It sounds to me like we're in the same boat, I don't care if you stay out here." The man finally said after a moment with an uncaring shrug.

"Oh?"

"My friends came to drink themselves silly and I tagged along to make sure they'd make it back home." He responded without sugar-coating anything, which didn't surprise Izuku any as he slowly started to get a read on the other's personality, if only just a little bit; he felt that there was something else that he wasn't exactly getting.

"Oh, well that's good I guess, looking out for your friends is pretty important." Izuku mumbled once again as he wondered how far he could take this conversation and whether or not the stranger really did mind his presence; the thought suddenly making the green-haired man come to a realization. "So I don't think we've met before, I'm Izuku Midoriya."

"Shouto Todoroki." The other responded after a moment's hesitation, getting a bright beam out of Izuku that seemed to make him pause with curious eyes.

"It's nice to meet you Todoroki, do you go to school here?" The green-haired man asked his companion, his grin never wavering as Todoroki let out an amused huff, looking away back out onto the lawn as he took another swig from his soda.

"Yea, for business stuff." Todoroki responded, sounding as if it was an answer that he had rehearsed many a time.

"Ooohh, that sounds pretty neat." Izuku said, impressed, though Todoroki just half-heartedly shrugged. "I'm not really sure what I want to major in so I've just been taking my generals."

"It's better to be undecided of what you want to do for the rest of your life instead of ending up at a job that you hate." Todoroki responded, voice almost bitter, as he looked over at Izuku appearing to be genuinely curious at the young man that had decided to join him on this night almost as much as Izuku had been about Todoroki. "Do you know what you want to do, Midoriya?"

"Of course, I want to help people..." Izuku replied with a determined stare that refused to waver. "I just... Don't really know what the best way to do that is."

Todoroki let out a thoughtful hum and Izuku could only guess as to what was going through the other's head to make him make such a sound.

"That sounds very honorable, I'm sure you'll come up with something." Was what he responded with and Izuku couldn't deny the tiny burst of pride that lit up in his chest upon hearing the stranger say such a thing.

"Thanks." He said, feeling heat rise up to his cheeks in the process, thus he took another gulp of soda in an attempt to cool himself. "I appreciate it."

Todoroki just gave a simple nod and with nothing else to say, a silence rose up around the two, though it was surprisingly far from awkward. One could say that it was comfortable even, just the two of them practically nothing more than strangers, standing next to each other with a an unspoken respect for each other that kept them from prodding too far into the other's comfort zone.

Occasionally they would make small talk, which was really just Izuku casually chatting about something that he loved or something funny that had happened with one of his friends while Todoroki would respond with a small nod and once Izuku could have sworn that he even saw the tiniest of smiles appear upon his face though it could have been a trick of the low light.

"I'm just saying, I really hope that they don't go too crazy tonight." Izuku was saying casually, both of their sodas having long since been finished and now the cans sat empty upon the railing. "Last time they did, Bakugou punched a hole through the wall and I had to hold Uraraka's hair back while she got sick."

"I understand, I am hoping my friends don't over do it as well." Todoroki stated with a sigh. "They came specifically to get drunk tonight so I'm a bit concerned."

"I'm sorry, that's never really too fun." Izuku said to which Todoroki shook his head.

"They've actually had a very rough past week so I think I can understand their reasoning for wanting some sort of escape." The taller of the two stated, though sounding as if he were unsure. "Even if I don't entirely understand wanting to impair yourself."

"Exams were really killer this year." Izuku stated which got Todoroki to hum in uncertainty, causing the green-haired man to look over at him curiously.

"It wasn't just the finals." Was what the other said, supplying no other information to which Izuku's brow creased.

"Oh, well I won't pry, but I hope that they're okay." He stated, receiving a shrug from Todoroki before his shoulders simply slumped entirely. It reminded Izuku of earlier of his first encounter with Todoroki, making him question what this stranger was currently going through, though he would be respectable of the other's privacy and not push for more information. Sometimes helping people was waiting until they were sure that they needed help.

Izuku then dared to look over at Todoroki, only to see that the other was in turn looking back at him, eyes just as intense as always. It was all that the green-haired man could do as he gave a small understanding smile, though unbeknownst to him, Todoroki was much more focused on his eyes. Large and round and so very green, they shone with an earnestness that the usually cautious Todoroki could not fight against as he felt the other slowly chipping away at the wall of ice that he usually tried to keep between himself and others. How strange that somebody that he had just met, somebody that was nothing more than a stranger despite how much they chatted, could make him feel so much at ease. Midoriya felt safe and seeing his expression contort into one of concern didn't feel right.

"Don't worry too much about us, it's a bump in the road, but we'll be fine." Todoroki finally said after a few moments, as if he were attempting to divert Izuku's attention away from the situation though considering who he was talking to, it didn't exactly work out the way that he had intended for it to.

"'Us'?" Izuku questioned, his head tilting to the side ever so slightly. "Are you also in trouble? I mean, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, you don't really owe me anything, but I just feel like talking over things with somebody can help! Even if it's a stranger, I know that might sound kind of weird, but after tonight we'll probably never see each other again and so it's not like I could hold the information against you. Not that I would anyway, but-"

"Do you always ramble like this?" Todoroki asked, a hint of amusement to the way he held himself, much to Izuku's relief. The green-haired man let out a nervous-sounding chuckle as he scratched at the back of his head.

"Yea, it's a pretty bad habit of mine." He responded with a shrug. "Sorry if I got on your nerves or pressed too hard."

"It's fine, you seem to be a very honest person, so I do not mind it." The other said and Izuku had to take a deep breath in order to calm himself down once more, glad that he wasn't being a total nuisance to Todoroki. Had he been someone else, there would have been no doubt that the smaller of the two would have probably been chased off once more by now.

Izuku sent a reassuring smile towards his companion, Todoroki gazing at him without a word as though he were thinking over what the other had mumbled about during his ramblings.

"My home life isn't what you would call the greatest..." Todoroki finally said several minutes later, his voice becoming small as he subconsciously rubbed at something on his arm. "So I allowed my friends to talk me into considering moving in with them, despite not yet having a job, they said they'd help support me until I got one even though I don't want them to. However, something in the plan changed and now there's no way that I could burden my friends like that, so I have to stay at home for an unknown amount of time, it's for the best."

"That's really rough, are your friends going to be alright?" Izuku questioned with a frown, not daring to show the pity that he felt for he was sure that the other would not appreciate such a thing from a stranger. He also did not ask what exactly had happened to his friends because he knew that he had no business knowing, even though he was incredibly curious.

"They are very strong and independent young women, I'm sure that they will be." Todoroki said with certainty, though Izuku didn't miss the hint of sadness within the other's tone. With furrowed brows, Izuku turned towards Todoroki ever so slightly and reached forward with a comforting hand to lay it on top of the other's where it rested upon the top of the railing. While Todoroki tensed up a bit, he did not flinch away as Izuku had been worried he would, so he dared to give a slight squeeze.

"Are you going to be alright, Todoroki?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper as he did so, Todoroki not saying a word as he looked into the other's green eyes and for the first time in the sort while that they had been speaking to each other, Todoroki's expression changed. His hard frown softened ever so slightly and his eyes shone with worry.

"I... I'm sure that I will be." Is what he said, but it was very clear that neither young man believed those words in the slightest. "You don't need to worry about me."

"Yea, you're probably right, but I can't really help it." Izuku said as he finally removed his hand, Todoroki looking down at where it had been almost as if its absence had offended him. "It's a little awkward to admit, but I couldn't stop worrying about you ever since what happened earlier, you seemed so upset... I know it's none of my business, I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I shouldn't have been so rude to you earlier." Todoroki said with a shrug. "My outburst was suppose to be directed towards somebody else, but that still doesn't excuse my attitude. I had a lapse of weakness and I let the stress of all these things piling up get to me."

"Don't be too hard on yourself, my mom always says to err is human, or something like that." Izuku said with his ever present gentle smile upon his face, Todoroki hummed in contemplation at that. "Though I would hate to ever get on your bad side, you seemed a little intimidating before I started talking to you. Though it's mainly because he seem to be one of those quiet mysterious types, you know, that person must have really did something wild."

Izuku didn't say that he was still very much intimidated by the other, because as Todoroki's lips quirked up into a hint of a smile he felt less afraid of the man in front of him and more fearful of the foreign pounding that grew within his chest. It made Izuku gulp, hoping Todoroki wouldn't hear the noise of it, and if he did he didn't comment on it.

"Either way, I shouldn't have behaved in such a way, it wasn't even a big deal so I shouldn't have treated it like one." Todoroki said, actually allowing a sigh to escape his lips and no of course Izuku was not staring at them, and if anyone were to accuse him he would deny it. "It was just some girl who kept pestering me since I've arrived to this house, she was making me uncomfortable so I did the only thing that I could think of and hid... I'm honestly not the mysterious loner that you think I am, I usually just follow my friends around at these kinds of things, but the crowd built up with everything else was too much for me."

"I guess that makes me feel a lot better since I'm the same way." Izuku said with a blinding grin as the other's words definitely made him feel a lot better about his own situation since they were essentially in the same boat. "You know, it's funny, my friend Uraraka really wanted me to try to get some girls' phone numbers tonight even though I'm super awkward and plain, but I'm honestly fine standing here and talking to you instead. I hope I'm annoying you like that girl was, I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable."

"You aren't, she made me uncomfortable because I could tell that she was coming on to me and... and I'm gay." Todoroki said with a tad bit of hesitation as if it were something that he seldom said out loud, his voice low enough that you could hear a pin drop in the silence and Izuku felt his breath catch in his throat at the other's words. Though Izuku hadn't meant to, he was sure that his eyes went round and his mouth went slack in an unspoken 'oh' as the sudden implications of Todoroki 'having trouble at home' made him question if that had anything to do with it and whether or not his companion was safe.

While Izuku was busy over thinking things, Todoroki's expression became one of concern, almost as if he had just told a secret that he was not supposed to.

"I don't know why I told you that." He said as he pushed himself off of the railing and stood up straight, suddenly seeming to be in a hurry. "I'm sorry, I should go."

As Todoroki took a few steps forward towards the door, Izuku was struck with a panic as he reminded himself that he would probably never see the other again, and also the guilt for having reacted as such. He couldn't let such a pleasant evening with a stranger end up like this.

"Wait!" Izuku exclaimed, his voice upping an octave for the first time that evening as he reached out to grab a hold of Todoroki's wrist, the other instantly turning back to face him instead of snatching his arm away like Izuku had thought that he would. There was a pause and during that small amount of time, the clouds in the sky finally parted way and allowed the light from the moon to cascade down, brightening up the world around them if only a little bit. Izuku's breath hitched as the light caused the white part of Todoroki's hair to shine with a vibrant silver glow, the green-haired boy dully taking note that even the red half seemed to be striking in that moment and all words that he could have said escaped him.

'I swear that I'm straight, but he's... He's really pretty...' Izuku thought as he moved down to look at Todoroki's face instead, the thought causing a jolt of panic to go through him as that was a whole new situation that he was just not in the mood to deal with tonight, thus he put it off and decided to just stop worrying and go with the flow of the mood.

Todoroki frowned as the two stood there, neither making a motion to move away or say anything, Izuku found himself opening up his mouth but shutting it right after he did so for a few times. He was studying the others face, realizing that the blotch on his left side was in fact some sort of scarring from what looked to be a bad burn, though he didn't pay it much mind as he gazed into the other's mismatched eyes. Todoroki grumbled and gently lifted up one of his hands to cover up the mark on his face.

"I don't like when people stare." He said, finally breaking the silence, to which Izuku snapped out of his daze blinking a few times rapidly.

"Sorry, I just... I've just never met someone with heterochromia before." Izuku stated, voice small as the tiniest of smiles returned. "Your eyes are really... nice."

He almost said gorgeous, oh god.

Todoroki seemed surprised by this and so he looked away with a unbelieveing scowl as if to say, 'don't speak like that' and Izuku desperately wanted to bring back the small curl to his lips.

"It's funny that it's called heterochromia, you know, you being gay and all." Izuku said in an attempt at humor even though he knew that was a terrible joke, though it would seem that he had done something right as Todoroki allowed a chuckle to escape him. "I am sorry for my reaction to that, by the way, I don't care if you're gay it just made me start to think about some things. I tend to do that a lot."

"It's fine, Midoriya." Todoroki responded and oh how Izuku loved the way he said his name. "I'm just usually more careful about who I tell stuff like that to, you're very easy to talk to, it's almost scary."

"So I've been told." Izuku said, as he thought back to a drunken night where he had to hold Uraraka as she wept about her crush on Bakugou, looking down to where their hands were now intertwined. It was then that he noticed, with the help of the moon's light, that Todoroki's arm had several angry bruises that looked unmistakably like fingerprints dotted up and down his arms; with a grimace he lifted up his free hand to gently brush his fingers against them. Todoroki tensed for only a moment before he seemed to melt at the soft caress from the other. "Is this why you've been having trouble at home?"

"I... Yea, my old man is garbage." Todoroki said with a sigh, looking down at where Izuku was brushing his fingers along his bruises, before he looked back up towards the other to stare hard into his bright green eyes. "You should consider becoming a therapist, I bet you'd be good at that."

"I don't know about that..." Izuku said trailing off as he looked back up, his eyes meeting Todoroki's once more, taking note of how they did appear to be as stoney as ever and yet he could not deny that there was just a permanent hint of sadness behind the walls of ice as well. Izuku could see it, or rather sense it, having gone through most of his life being bullied he did tend to be much more receptive to the emotions of others; was Todoroki right and he would make a good therapist? He wasn't so sure about that, but he made note to tuck the thought away with the others and deal with that during another time.

There were far too many unspoken things between these two strangers and Izuku wasn't quite sure if words could convey any of the feelings that he could sense heavy in the air. His head was swimming with hundreds of possibilities on how this encounter could end, it was wild and it was almost exciting as Izuku thought about what he wanted to do and how much that confused him. In his head he could hear a voice he could hear a voice that sounded a lot like Bakugou screaming at him 'what are you doing?!' and then a much louder one that resembled Uraraka cheering 'go for it!'

Izuku took in a deep breath as he lightly squeezed Todoroki's hand, the other giving him a curious look, while he shoved all of his worries and concerns away allowing his stress to finally ebb away for the night.

"H-Hey, Todoroki, do you want to make some really dumb choices with me tonight?" Izuku asked, unable to hold back the blush that rose up to his cheeks that gave away his intentions and found himself to be surprised when he saw a similar one on the other's face. Todoroki didn't say anything, but he gave a sure nod, while his mismatched eyes sparkled in the moon light brightly making whatever was left of Izuku's hesitation immediately vanish.

Suddenly he didn't regret coming out to the party tonight.

"So now we might end up losing the house." The punk-looking girl who Ochako had never met before was telling a very shocked-looking Ashido. The two having what sounded like a very personal conversation, so Ochako assumed that she must have been one of the pink-haired girl's friends. Though she could not dwell on thinking it over for long as she suddenly heard the door at the top of the stairs opening, with a frown she quickly looked towards who it was, a question hanging on her lips.

"Hey, have you seen Deku anywhere?" Ochako had asked Kirishima from where she sat, cuddled up to her boyfriend on the couch in the basement, as the red-head came bounding down the stairs with his arms full of fresh drinks. He handed one to Bakugou before he plopped down right on the other side of the blond.

"Not since earlier." Kirishima said giving the young woman a thoughtful look and an apologetic shrug. "Sorry."

"Oh, maybe he did end up leaving early." Ochako said with a sigh, still feeling a bit bad that she had dragged her friend out to this get together when he so clearly had been against it. She had hoped that he would end up having a fun time, but it did not seem to work out that way, hopefully she would be able to apologize to him when they got back home if he was still awake. If not, then she'd have to do it tomorrow while nursing an inevitable hang over.

"How?" Bakugou finally said as he opened up his drink and took a swig. "We were his ride."

Ochako frowned at that, making her a little bit more worried for her friend than previous, she sure did hope he hadn't hitched a ride or gotten into some trouble. Bakugou seemed to notice the sudden concern on her face as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders in his attempt to comfort her.

"Maybe he got a ride from Ojiro when he left." Tokoyami calmly stated from where he sat in an old love seat across from them, next to Ashido and the punk-looking girl, who continued to casually chat, only pausing to look over at the others as they wondered about their green-haired friend's whereabouts. "I could text him if you want, but he may be asleep already, or with Shinsou."

"I would appreciate that." Ochako said as Bakugou leaned up and nudged her shoulder.

"Don't worry about that nerd, he knows not to talk to strangers." He said, half jokingly, but Ochako knew what her boyfriend had meant. Deku knew better than to accept ride from someone who he didn't know, so perhaps he did just get a ride from one of his friends back to their apartment, the thought helped ease up on her nerves. "True, I just wish he would have told us before he left."

"I hate to agree with that, but hell yea, I agree." Bakugou said with a grumble. "How the hell are we going to get home now? We sure as hell can't dive."

"If you guys need to, you can just crash here." Kirishima said, then shooting back the same thing to every body else in the room. "What kind of host would I be if I let everyone drink and drive? That's so unmanly."

"Thanks man, I'll go find Momo to tell her." Said the punk girl as she stood up from her seat. "I haven't seen our ride in awhile either, so he probably ditched us."

As she walked over towards the stairs to leave the room, Ashido waved and called after her.

"Oh, hey, speaking of which if you see him again could you apologize for me?" She said with a grin on her face. "I didn't know he was gay!"

The punk girl gave a thumbs up as she vanished from the room, Ochako letting out a huff and otherwise payed no mind to whatever that situation was. She was far too worried about Midoriya to be thinking about getting in on any drama or gossip that had happened during the party and now she was probably staying the night here unable to see if her friend was okay until the morning. Slouching in her seat right about now, Ochako wasn't very good at hiding her emotions like some of her friends were and Bakugou immediately noticed this.

The blond let out a hum as a suddenly mischievous expression appeared on his face, leaning forward he nudged up against her ear.

"You wanna go make out in a closet somewhere?" He asked her, the scent of alcohol clearly on his breath, but he sure could hold it like a champ, so she never worried about him as much as she would with Midoriya if the smaller male ever chose to drink. Ochako rolled her eyes and let out a small sigh.

"Yea, sure." She said, a small grin appearing on her face as Bakugou grabbed her hand and pulled her off of the couch. In the very least this would help her to get her mind off of her nervous wreck of a best friend, wherever he may be.

"Have fun, but just don't make out in my room, please!" Kirishima called after them as the duo climbed up the basement stairs and exited out into a hallway.

"We should definitely go into his room." Bakugou said, receiving a glare from Ochako.

"Or we could not do that?"

"Fine..." The blond grumbled, pausing a moment as if to think before he shrugged. "Livingroom coat closet?"

"That works." Ochako responded with a grin that her boyfriend returned with vigor as the two of them hurried along into the livingroom with haste, only stopping to slow down into a casual trot once they noticed that they were not the only ones in the room. The punk girl from earlier was standing with another girl with a high ponytail that honestly looked like she didn't belong at this kind of party with her fancy way of dress and by the expression on her face, she didn't quite think that this was her type of event either.

"You know you don't have to help clean up right?" The punk girl asked the other, who Ochako finally noticed was holding a trash bag as she walked around the room while tossing garbage into it.

"I know, but I want to be helpful, it puts me at ease." The fancy girl responded with a small frown as she stood up straight, then tossing a glance towards Ochako and Bakugou as they realized that they were no longer alone. The punk girl followed her gaze and Ochako could feel her face heat up as Bakugou lightly tugged on her hand in order to lead her towards the closet, almost like they were some hormonal teenagers or something.

"Have fun." The punk girl said with a snicker, getting the other one to quickly scold her for her teasing words, Ochako grumbled at that.

"Sure, the hell will." Bakugou responded to which Ochako gave him a light shove.

"Katsuki!" The brunette exclaimed as her boyfriend smirked and snatched a hold of the closet's doorknob, yanking it open about as gently as he usually opened doors, which was not at all.

Had he known that said closet was already occupied, would he have been more gentle with it or not open it at all? Maybe... Probably not.

A surprised shriek came out of Deku's mouth as he all but leaped away from the other boy that he was currently mashing lips with, the other in turn looking at them with wide-mismatched eyes like a deer in headlights. Ochako's eyes went wide and she could feel her jaw drop, while Bakugou sputtered next to her.

"Oh my god, Todoroki!" One of the girls yelled from behind them, but Ochako was too shocked to figure out which one of them that it was as he looked from the white and red-haired boy and to her best friend. Midoriya cowered in the corner with a much similar expression on his face that she had on her own, their eyes met and he gave an apologetic smile as if to say 'whoops.'

Ochako let out a sigh as she realized that this was going to be something that they would have to talk about, considering she just caught her previously thought to be straight best friend making out with another guy, and it was becoming increasingly less likely that she was going to get to make out with her boyfriend tonight. Bakugou also seemed to realize this dilemma as he clenched his fists together and sent a glare towards the green-haired boy.

"Damn it, Deku!" Bakugou yelled out in a growl as a small smile appeared on Ochako's face, well, at least it seems like her friend did end up having fun tonight.
