The power he felt was Amazing. The destruction of the universe and reality, right at his fingertipsit was.Beautiful. Simply beautiful. There was one standing in the way. The one his predecessor had been guarded by.
"Stand away, Auron! You couldn't possibly comprehend what exactly I can do to you!" Seymour Shouted.
"I do not care, for I shall protect the people of Spira," Auron replied.
"Our views are no different! I wish to protect the people of Spira from their endless spiral of doom, despair, and sadness. I will become their salvation! Join me in my conquest!"
"You mean to say there is no way of defeating Sin???"
"Yes! As I said, it is and endless spiral of dejection! Sin was put here by those who wish dissolution upon the populous!" An adroit, knowing look shot through Auron's eyes.
"I shall join you!"
"Ah, it is reassuring to see the members of such a multifarious community be without segregation and wishing to aid it's inhabitants."
"Yes, I wish the best for my friends and allies, whom now include you."
"Come, let us proceed to Besaid. Your beloved summoner awaits us there. We shall save her first for you."
"Yes."
Auron and Seymour took a boat from the leveled Luca to Besaid, where Yuna dwells. Seymour shot a quick look of pure passion towards the other man, and Auron returned the glare, knowing what he wanted. Seymour drew closer to him, just as he was knocked away by a powerful thud. The boat had docked, and they arrived at the soon dead village.
Seymour cast Hastega and the pair of destroyers, and Auron sprinted into the village, as Seymour took to the air and leveled most of the small island's buildings. Auron finished off the stragglers, and caught a view of Yuna's dying body.
He beckoned Seymour into the neighboring sea. Seymour proceeded into the oceans; Auron got there before him. Auron could see the love in his eyes as they swam together. They embraced each other amongst their own destruction. Seymour glanced down at the water and saw it was red. Stained with the blood of the saved, he thought. But, then was when he felt the stinging in his back. He turned around to see a dagger in the middle of his back. The hand that held it was the very one whom he loved.
"A Auron Why?"
"I can't let you do this. I love you. I am sorry." A tear slid down Seymour's face, which was laced with the blood he coughed up.
"I still love y o u" Seymour cried.
"As do I..." Auron saw Seymour's eyes, which were filled with the deepest, purest love he had ever seen as the blue-haired beauty slid out of Auron's firm grip to rest at the bottom of the lake. Auron swam down to meet him and put Seymour's hand in his. Auron fell asleep nest to him, for now and forever.
