Matthew took a deep breath as his cursor hovered over the send button. Sure he had triple checked that he was on anon, but the task was still daunting. He shakily clicked send and moved back to the main page of his favorite blog. Why did flirting... no, even talking to his favorite blogger on anon have to be so terrifying? It wasn't as if Matt could possibly know who he really was.
He had been following Matt's blog since he joined tumblr and it was one of the few he actually made an effort to keep up with. From the cute polar bear and moose pictures to the funny comments he would leave, Matt's blog was really entertaining, and what was better was that Matt lived in Canada as well. Matthew didn't know where abouts in Canada, but they lived in the same country and that alone was pretty exciting.

Matt raised an eyebrow when he saw he had gotten a new ask. He clicked the little envelope icon and read over the new anon he had gotten. He grinned to himself and began typing out a reply. He had been getting a lot of really cute anons like this lately, and what was better was that they all sort of sounded like they were from the same person. If only he knew who this person was, they were fucking adorable with their attempts at flirting and all of the questions they sent. Matt hit the post button when he was finished with his reply and pushed away from his desk to stand and stretch. He could only hope whoever sent the anon would see his reply.
Matthew's eyes lit up when he noticed that Matt had updated. His face flushed lightly when he noticed that it was the ask he had sent. "He replied! Again!" he gasped, inwardly squealing with delight.
The Canadian had been up all night and the weak morning sun was now shining through his curtains. His eyes stung and itched with tiredness and his hair was rumpled and messy, but he couldn't care less. This whole blogging thing was slowly beginning to take over any sort of social life the youth had and he couldn't be happier about it. Matthew was just glad he was out of school for the holidays so he didn't have to worry about homework or waking up early, because really, how was he supposed to get up at six in the morning when he didn't go to sleep until nearly seven? Matthew was in his last year of high school and really should be looking for universities to go to instead of spending all his time on a social network, but he just couldn't help himself. He would always end up on tumblr, telling himself just to be on for a few minutes but ending up spending hours there without meaning to. It wasn't as if he was completely neglecting school life though, he had looked up a few college websites and had even printed out an application, which was... somewhere. He'd worry about it later, when he wasn't so sleepy.
Matthew read over the reply to the reply and felt his heart skip a beat. "Why don't you just de-anon already? I'm getting tired of trying to figure out who this cute anon I keep getting is" the reply read. Well Matthew couldn't just do that, that would mean Matt would know who he was, and would have access to his blog, that in itself was terrifying. Matthew let out a wide yawn and glanced at his clock to see that it was six in the morning. He winced and quickly closed his laptop, deciding it would be best to get to sleep so he could at least get a few hours before his brother woke up and started being loud and obnoxious.
