DISCLAIMER: Blah...blah...blah...blah...NO.
A/N: I felt I should post something...I'll be getting a new laptop in about nine days, and I should have a bit more free time soon. On the downside, my friend's dad just ran over my cell phone. Seriously. Gain one important electronic, loose another...Dammit! Anyway...enjoy the pathetically short R/Hr drabble, and...review. :)

I have felt hyper-aware for the past week, of every sensation, every noise, every emotion.
And yet I feel numb.
My hands fist around a clump of wet leaves on this abnormally-warm late-December day. They crinkle like old parchment, and the runny mud coating them is like clotted ink between my fingers.
The image of an essay done in messy, large scrawl with doodles and scribbles adorning the margins, covered in wet ink swirls through my mind, throbbing in my temples as a groaning, irritable redhead mutters, "And it was just finished!"
I choke on the dry air in my lungs and shake my curls out of my face, running my tongue over my cracked lips in a vain attempt to moisten them.
Gone. He's gone.
