Oh and if you have read my Naruto fanfic I'm taking a break for a little bit. Plus I broke my hand hehe...
Zoro was laying on the deck of Thousand Sunny, dozing in the afternoon sun. Luffy, Usopp and Chopper were leaning over the deck, trying to catch some fish. Nami and Robin were reading, and Brook was sitting with them, along with Franky. Sanji, in the kitchen, was cooking dinner, shrimp tempura and sushi. It was a very peaceful atmosphere, and everyone was very happy and content. They had just gotten back from a shopping expedition. Sanji had stocked up on food, and Nami bought more books for her and Robin.
"Ahhhhh!" Nami leaned back and stretched. "Today feels soooo good! Hey Robin, don't you think so?"
Robin smiled at her. "Of course." She sipped her tea. "I wonder when dinner will be ready."
"DINNNNNEEEERRRR MEAT MEAT MEAT!" Luffy ran over. "Did you say dinner's ready?!" He ran into the kitchen.
"No wait-!" Nami leaped up and ran after him.
"Haha!" Robin laughed at their silliness.
"Robin chan~! Where do you think we will go next?" asked Brook.
"I hope we go to another island soon," called Chopper. "I forgot to stock up on medical supplies." He blushed. "I'm sorry."
"No, no it's fine Chopper." Franky said. "We all make mistakes."
From across the deck, Zoro started to stir. He rubbed his eyes and stood up slowly.
"Oi," he said slowly, "When is dinner?"
The kitchen door slammed, and Sanji walked out with Nami, carrying a beaten Luffy.
"Will everyone stop asking me about dinner?! I can't get anything done if you guys keep bothering me." He dropped Luffy on the deck. "You girls can, of course." He looked over lovingly at Robin and Nami, who had sat down again. "But no one else! And you," he pointed at Zoro, "Come help me with the dishes."
He sighed. "Fine. Just let me check on Manami."
Nami looked up. "Do you want some help Zoro?"
"No." He stalked off. Nami sighed and kept reading.
"I still can't believe he hasn't told us where it came from." Usopp said. Sanji smacked him upside the head.
"She. Where SHE came from. How many times do we have to remind you?"
"Sorry."
"Wait, what? Does Zoro have a kid!?" Chopper looked around wildly. "Ho-how come I don't know about it?! It's here?! On Thousand Sunny?"
"Ah. That's right Chopper. You were knocked out." said Robin. She turned to him to explain.
"Well Chopper, you know how we got lost and separated for almost a year?"
"Uh huh." His eyes were wide.
"Well, when we all found each other, Zoro came back carrying a baby. He wouldn't say where it had come from, or if it's even his. We begged him to tell us, but all we got out of him was that it's mother had died, and her name was Manami."
" I seriously think it's his." said Franky. "Same hair color, same eye color. It's pretty obvious."
"We don't know for sure though." Sanji said. Franky rolled his eyes.
"Well I don't care if it's his or where he got it from!" said Luffy loudly. "She's SUPPPER cute!"
"Aww! I wanna see her!" Chopper said. They heard footsteps coming.
"Well, just ask him Chopper." said Sanji. "He showed us."
Zoro came into view, carrying a little bundle.
"Is-is that her!? Zoro! Let me see! Please?!" Chopper ran over to him.
Zoro glared at him. "Shhhh! She's sleeping." He knelt down and held out the bundle.
"Here. Just DONT drop her." Chopper reached out and took her very carefully. Everyone walked over and knelt down too. She was barely a 5 months old, and very small. She had mint green hair, exactly the same shade as Zoro's. She wiggled a bit and opened her eyes slowly.
"Wow," breathed Chopper. "Her eyes are just like yours!" She closed her eyes and sighed, a little sound that melted the hearts of everyone.
"Aw," Everyone said. Zoro took her back from Chopper and sat down in his usual napping area.
'Wow.' Thought Sanji. 'I never thought Zoro would be the maternal type. He does seem to do a good job though.' He stared at him a bit longer. "I wonder how long he had Manami.' He turned around and walked back into the kitchen to resume dinner. After a min or two, Zoro walked in.
"What did you want me to do again?" he asked, his eyes trailing over Sanji's body lazily.
"Ah... The dishes. Please." Sanji noticed that Zoro looked a bit off, and was trying to be nicer than usual. He almost never said please when talking to Zoro. Plus, that look Zoro just gave him freaked him out a bit.
"Sure." He plunged a dish in the water and started to clean. For a couple of minutes, it was silent. Sanji finished before Zoro did, and stood awkwardly, waiting for him to be done.
"Um... Zoro?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you...ok? Cause I've noticed that you're... Different. Not that that's a bad thing, of course... I'm just.. Worried, I guess." Zoro glanced over his shoulder at him.
'Sanji? Worried about me?' He turned back around and washed his final dish.
"Me? Why would you be worried about me? Don't you hate me?" He faced Sanji again, leaning on the edge of the sink.
"Well you just had-... Um brought home a baby, and that's gotta be stressful."
"Well, it will make you the about things, that's for sure." 'There he goes again.' Sanji though. 'Why does he keep eyeing me like that?'
Nami walked in, carrying Manami. Manami was crying loudly, kicking and wailing her arms about. Nami looked flustered.
"Here Zoro. We can't take it anymore and we don't know what to do." She placed Manami in his arms. "I thinks she's hungry, but I really don't know what her deal is." She walked out, pausing at the doorframe. "And Sanji, we really want dinner. Luffy's going insane." She shut the door behind her.
Zoro rocked Manami in his arms, trying to get her to calm down. "Shhh, it will be all right."
Sanji smiled internally. 'He looks so loving right now. Why can't he be like that all the time? Wait. What am I thinking?' He shook his head, trying to dislodge that warm feeling he got when thinking about Zoro.
"Here, let me hold her," he said. Zoro eyed him with mistrust.
"What marimo? Do you think I'm going to hurt her?" Zoro handed her over reluctantly. It wasn't that he didn't trust Sanji, but rather he thought he was planing something. Just what he was planning, Zoro didn't know.
Sanji looked down at Manami. "She is just so beautiful..." She suddenly stopped crying and looked up at him. "Hi there." Sanji cooed at her.
Zoro started at them. He strangely felt a warmness towards Sanji. He bit his lower lip. 'Damn, why does he look so attractive right now? And why am I even thinking that?!' Sanji looked up at him, and saw Zoro blushing furiously.
