Hi there! Just a random fanfic I'm doing because I am bored.
Another average day had gone by at the ARC. Abby and Becker had wrestled a prehistoric hippo, or something, and Becker had ended up with a large gash on his arm. He changed into his civilian clothes and headed off home to relax. Abby had been worried about him. It wasn't often he got hurt, but when he did, it was bad. His mind liked to wander else where, which made him prone to forget things. This time it was his wallet. Abby picked it up and dropped it off at Becker's on the way home.
She knocked on the white council door at Becker's flat. But there was no response. Abby became paranoid and opened the door to let herself in. The room was plunged into total darkness, except for the glow being emitted from the television screen. Becker was sitting on a leather armchair, fiddling furiously on an Xbox controller. The sound on his TV was turned up to full-no wonder he couldn't hear her knocking on the door. The colours flashed brightly on the screen. Little cartoon people in different coloured suits, and a little green dinosaur bobbing about on the screen. On the floor a loose video game box had been flung in front of the TV unit. It had large bubbly words that read "SUPER MARIO BROS."
Abby's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Becker?" He couldn't hear her. "BECKER!" She shouted.
He paused his game and stood up to find Abby in the doorway. He flicked on the lights, and illuminated the room to make sure it really was Abby standing in front of him, and that he hadn't imagined it.
"Oh! Abby, this is surprising." Becker flushed with embarrassment. "Umm, is something wrong?"
Abby had frozen temporarily, before remembering what she was there for. "You, err, you left you wallet at work. I was just dropping it off and making sure you were ok, after the incident earlier." Abby was alarmed at her new discovery. She might not have known much about Becker to start with, but she would never have expected this. The room was lined with several bookshelves, but they weren't filled with books. There were rows of Playstation 3 games, Xbox games, Wii games and even Nintendo DS games. In one corner was a full Guitar Hero band set, guitar, drums and the microphone. Abby almost laughed at the thought of Becker singing. There was also a poster on the world. It was a 'Super Mario' poster, with a giant picture of Princess Peach in the middle. Someone had scribbled a heart around the large cartoon character in a red sharpie. That was when Abby backed towards the door.
"Err, thanks Abby, I appreciate it…Hey! Where are you going?" He asked her.
"Away from here!" She shouted and ran out the door frantically.
"I think she saw my poster." Becker said to himself, bemused.
