Draco walked up the steps to the Astronomy Tower. Hermione and his relationship was still a secret. It was fairly warm. So he wore some knee-length black shorts and a green t-shirt with the Slytherin crest on it.

He reached the top of the stairs and saw Hermione had her back to him and had her arms on the railing. She had not heard him come up the steps. Her hair had recently tame into the beautiful toffee curls that now lay on her head.

He circled his arms around her waist, when he was close enough. She stopped looking at the moon's reflection in the Black Lake and turned in his arms to face him.

He noticed the sadness in her doe like brown eyes and asked, "Mione, what's wrong?". He kissed her lightly on the forehead. He then saw that she was still wearing her uniform, a white button up and a grey pencil skirt. She hadn't had time to change, because she came straight from the library.

"I've been thinking." she replied. "Like that's ever happened." he replied sarcastically. "Draco, I think we should stop seeing each other." Draco stopped chuckling when he heard this. Now he realize why she was so sad. "Why?" was all he could ask at the moment. "We are from two completely different worlds. We don't belong together. You are a pureblood, who has to find a wife, who is also pureblood, might I add. While I on the other hand, am a muggleborn who is just trying to enjoy my life at Hogwarts, so that I actually have something to come back to next year. Instead of being the girl everyone makes fun of." She had started yelling while she said this and had gotten out of his arms.

It pained him to hear these words but he knew she was right. Hermione Granger was always right. She walked over to the staircase, but right before she descended the stairs she turned around and said, "I'm sorry Draco.". He watched her till even the sound of her footsteps disappeared,

He said quietly, "I love you, Mione. And I won't stop fighting for you. Ever.".

Both of them went to bed and just before Hermione fell asleep a tear fell from her eye.
