Author's Note:

Hello! This work of fiction will be my very first piece of fanfiction I have ever posted on the internet. I have and will work very hard on it to make it great for all to enjoy! I'm still in school, so I won't be able to update regularly, but I promise to update as soon as I can! If there is any mistakes you see in this story, please tell me and I'll be sure to fix it!

Warning: I do not own any characters in the story, all belong to Zeptolab and I do not claim any ownership of the materials. This story is a fan fiction of Om Nom and his ancestors, which are from the Cut The Rope series, specifically Cut The Rope: Time Travel, but also characters from the Cut The Rope Comics and Cut The Rope 2. I only thing own is the light (you'll see what I mean).

Now that is out of the way, let's begin the story!

Chapter One - The Dream

Om Nom opened his eyes up into a world of both light and darkness. The world around him was pitch black, while the sky above him had bright stars that danced around eachother, in colors of white, red, blue, and yellow. The ground he walked had no texture, which caused each step he tooked to make him feel like he was flying in the air.

He walked around aimlessly, not knowing where he was or how he got here. He looked back up and saw the stars movements had slowed down. They began to slowly moved down from the sky above and went towards the ground. They moved around Om Nom as he stared in awe. A bright white star tapped his nose, which made the child giggled. The white star then floated away into the far distance, the other stars followed quickly behind.

Om Nom ran after the bright stars, with childhood wonderment that shimmered in his light blue eyes. He kept running until the bright lights disappeared, leaving him all alone in the darkness. He looked up, but the stars weren't in the sky like they had been before. He frowned and looked sadly at the ground, already missing them.

As he looked at the dark ground, he noticed the ground turned grey and he could see his shadow. He excitedly turned around, hoping to see the friendly stars again. The stars were back, but they were circling around a new light.

This light wasn't an circular shape like the stars, but rather a humanoid shape. It looked to be feminine in shape, but the creature shined too brightly for any features to be seen. It's body glowed in a white color and behind her face a bright circle beamed in yellow. It was much bigger than the other stars and seemed to be apart of it's body. The only thing that wasn't blindingly bright was the creatures four white wings, which flapped like a hummingbird behind it's body.

It floated closer to Om Nom, making him cover his eyes from all the blinding light. A feminine giggle filled the quiet air of the once dark room.

"You're Om Nom, yes," it asked with an angelic voice. He nodded in response, still covering his eyes. It giggled from the green child's reaction.

"Open your eyes, child, light can't blind one in dreams." He did as he was told and found the creature was right. He stared at the beauty in front of him, being remined of stories of princesses from the fairytale books.

The creature moved closer and placed a hand on his cheek. It felt like a warm bed to him, which caused him to feel safe and cozy. He drowsily looked up at the brightest of lights. He felt like it was smiling down at him, but he couldn't make out any features still.

"Such a sweet child..." it mumbled before it turned slowly somber. "Alas, I have not came to you only for a vist." Om Nom was confused at that, but still enjoyed the warmth from the cratures hand.

"You see, Om Nom, great sorrows and horrors have caused the bloodline of your past to be left behind in your plane of existence. Normally, I would leave the poor, lost souls be left to their unfortunate faiths, but something has began to happen."

Om Nom tried to listen to all of what it was saying, but it didn't make any sense to him. He didn't understand hardly any of the words it spoke and he started to zone out, much like how a toddler would when their parents have gave then too much chores to do.

"Do you understand all of this?" Om Nom looked up again and just nodded, not wanting to disappoint the light by not understanding. He felt it smile again.

"Good." It then chuckled. "Besides, it'll do you good to be raised as a son instead of a pet."

A loud alarm rang in Om Nom's ears as his human and best friend, Evan, sluggishly raised his arm to turn it off. They both hated that alarm, although Om Nom hated it more cause he didn't understand what it's purpose was, besides ruining his sleep.

The boy rolled around in his bed for a minute longer before he kicked off the bedsheets and scooted to the side of his bed. He stretched his arms and yawned, before he threw off his pjs and started to get dressed.

Like always, Om Nom waited in his box bed so that Evan could have privacy. It was an unspoken rule between the two that they never broke. Once Evan was done getting dressed, Om Nom hopped out of the box and went up to the boy.

He yawned before speaking. "Good morning Om Nom," he greeted as he crouched down and petted Om Nom's head, causing the green alien like animal to purr. Evan chuckled.

"Had a goodnights sleep buddy?" Om Nom nodded in response, the fond memories of the warm hand and the pretty light still fresh in his mind.

Evan smiled and talked more to his pet before he got up. He grabbed his backpack and walked out of the room, Om Nom following right behind his feet. He followed and watched him though all his morning rituals, just as he did each day. He would even watch him threw the windows and until the bus came and took him to school. He still had no idea what school was, but Evan sure did have mixed feelings about it.

This morning, as the bus rolled around the street corner and Evan got on, he began to think back on to that dream. He still didn't understand what it had meant and he felt like he had missed something very important from it's long speech.

But, that probably didn't matter. It was just a dream, right?
