Lorelai was in her car,driving home from another Friday night dinner, when a song she had not really ever heard before came on the radio.She turned it up and listened to the lyrics. She put her brain on auto pilot as she began thinking about her and Luke's relationship.She had not been able to really tell Luke how she really felt about him yet and she smiled as she listened to the words.This is perfect. she thought After the song ended the radio announcer came on "And that was Aslyn with 'Thats Whe I love you'." Lorelai decided that she liked the song so much that when she got to her house she downloaded it off of itunes.

She burned the song onto a cd, put her coat back on and ran over to the diner. She remembered that Luke was visiting his old friend who was sick in the hospital. Lorelai had scribled a note on the cd case that read 'Luke,listen to the first song.' and she stuck it inside the door.

Luke got home around 10:30pm that night,after finding out that his best friend from high school needed surgery. He opened the door and sees the cd. He reads the note and recognizes Lorelai's hand writting. He goes up to his apartment and puts the cd into the cd player. He grabs a beer from the fridge and sit on the couch as the song begins to play.

As if on cue, Luke's phone begins to ring beside him. He knows who it is before he even answers it.

"Hello"

"Hey, your home"

"Yeah, just got in about almost five minutes ago."

"Oh, did you listen to the song?"

"Yeah, it just ended when you called"

"Oh"

"yup"

The two continued to talk for about another 15 minutes until they both decided to hang up and talk in the morning when Lorelai came for her coffee.

"So I'll see you tomorrow" Luke said

"As always"Lorelai replied.

"hey,Lorelai."

"Yeah?"

"I love you"

"I love you too Luke" Lorelai replied smiling widely to herself. They exchanged 'good-nights' and hung up.
