I had this really random thought, so here it is!

Charlie's Death Bed
Scene: Charlie is on his death bed and the Cullen's have decided to tell them that they're vampires.
(3rd Person POV)
"Hey dad," Bella called coming through the ward door.
"Hey Bells," Charlie answered feebly.
Carlisle was beside Charlie's bed checking his machines etc. The whole Cullen family filled in behind Bella.
"Hey everyone" Charlie called out, to the best of his ability. He had got used to the fact that none of them age.
Bella exchanged glances with the whole family individually. They all nodded when she caught their gaze.
Bella then went to sit on Charlie's bed.
"Dad, there's something we want to tell you, just please don't panic."
"Ok Bells" Charlie murmured.
"No, Charlie honest you need to relax and listen." Carlisle interrupted. "Jasper, we might need you."
Jasper stepped forward. "Ready and waiting" Jasper smiled.
"Good, right, um… dad you know about Jake and… well we have a secret of our own…." Bella stammered and stuttered.
Edward laid an encouraging hand on Bella's shoulder and she reached up to get it and pull in onto her lap.
"Bells I've been waiting for this day from that day," he shuddered.
Bella laughed once a low, wind chime.
"Well dad, please don't freak but… well…."
"Bella, just spit it out"
"We're vampires," Bella rushed out.
To all their surprise Charlie laughed. Jasper couldn't help but chuckle too.
"Um… dad did you hear me?" Bella was worried now.
"I'm dead, I'm dead!" Charlie laughed.
"Jasper! Help!" Bella yelled at him.
"Right, right." Jasper got out through his laughs.
After a minute Charlie calmed down.
"Dad, you're not dead."
"Ok, Bells, so you're really a vampire?"
"Charlie, we're being serious." Edward told him, hearing his thoughts.
"Right, so what did I do to get into hell? Hum?"
"Charlie," It was Alice this time, "They're being honestly serious."
Charlie sat up dazed and realized.
"What! So do you like," Charlie gulped, "drink people's blood?"
The Cullen's laughed.
"Nearly dad, we drink animal blood. Thanks Jasper."
"No problem."
"Jasper? What's he got to do with anything?"
Bella and the rest of the Cullen's sat and explained everything to him. They let Charlie take in everything in his own time, with Jasper's help, of course.
"Well, I really have a heard time trying to picture any of you drinking blood. Well maybe you Emmett!" They all laughed.
