Stupid Boy

Draco was next to the table. Ron Weasley was facing him.

"Why did she die Malfoy? She loved you, she loved baby Epsilon and Aludra. Why did you kill her?"

"I didn't mean to! It was an accident..."

"You killed your wife by accident? You disgust me."

And with that Ron left Malfoy Manor. Draco sank into a chair and remembered. He remembered his great life, his loving children, and his beloved wife Hermione. A tear fell out of his eye.

He had joined the Order of the Phoenix after the Battle of Hogwarts. Partly for Hermione, she was still a member, but partly for him. After Voldemort fell they battled other Dark wizards and witches. It was nearly 12 years since that dreadful war when Voldemort fell. He had been sent on a mission. He was sent to kill Delilah Livingstone, a He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named fanatic who couldn't believe he was dead. She was dangerous. To everyone. He apperated into her house. He crept up the stairs. This house looked familiar. It was the one next door. He silently opened the door.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"Draco!"

He looked at the body. It was not of Delilah Livingstone, but of his dear sweet wife Hermione. Aludra, his 11 year old daughter, ran into the room.

"What have you done!" she screamed. Draco didn't blame her. He could only look at the body. Hermione's brown hair was spread across the pillow. She had a deathly pale complexion and her wide open brown eyes were full of fear.

That week Aludra moved in with her grandparents: Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. They were delighted to have her, even if she was a half-blood. They agreed with her completely. He agreed with her completely.

Thank God Epsilon was a baby. He couldn't turn against him. But he was only a baby. He would never know his mother. His beautiful, kind, gentle, smart mother. No. He would grow up with his father, the pure-blood, sarcastic murderer. He didn't deserve that. No one did, not when their mother was as kind and loving and caring as Hermione was.

It wasn't his fault. He had to remember this. Everyday he was told this by at least one of the Order. But it was, it was! It was a mistake anyone could of made he was told. But he should have looked. WHY DIDN'T HE LOOK!

Go back down Memory Lane. Go back and lose yourself, so you save yourself the pain.

After he killed Hermione he quickly called the Order. Ginny Potter looked after Aludra and Epsilon while Potter killed Delilah Livingstone. Potter got all the credit. Perfect Potter, always getting the credit for everything.

"Weasley House" he said aloud using the Floo Network Ron was in the front room reading when Draco came through the fireplace.

"What do you want Malfoy?"

"Weasley, we need to talk. Tell me everything you know about Hermione."

Ron went through their entire history. Ron elaborated more than Draco had realised he would. He felt a pang of sympathy, not for himself, but for the pure-blooded wizard before him.

"You loved her, didn't you," Draco said suddenly.

"I always have." Ron replied with a tear coming out of his eye. "I was so happy when she married you, only because she was happy. And if she was happy, I was happy."

"I'm such a stupid boy." Draco muttered to himself.
