So this is a little story I came up with earlier and decided to write it. It's just a one-shot but I think it's pretty good. I hope you like it. This is set after The Bells of Saint John. I do not own Doctor Who or any of the characters in it.
By now, you should know the rule. The rule they once forgot. The only rule The Doctor ever uses. Rule 1. The Doctor lies. Indeed he does. He lied once, but no one even thought of it at the time. They thought he was telling the truth. Maybe they were too busy saying farewell to think straight. Well it will be a surprise to them all. Maybe he didn't think he was lying or maybe he knew he was, they just didn't figure it out. Either way he lied and I'm here to show you, just exactly what he lied about.
The Doctor stood in the control room staring blankly at the controls. His mind wandered. Clara had just told him about 10 minutes ago to wait until tomorrow and come ask her again. She had already stepped out of the blue box and headed into her house. He was trying to think of what to do in the meantime. He could do anything, it was a time machine after all. He would be on time tomorrow. An idea struck him and he decided to go to America. He didn't know where exactly in America but he just wanted to go. He then set off on his journey. Clara sat inside her home watching his box. A smile formed on her face as she saw it fade. "You better come back for me tomorrow, Doctor." she muttered aloud to herself.
Meanwhile, the Doctor landed somewhere. He opened the TARDIS doors and a frown came on his face. New York. Manhattan to be precise. He breathed in and stepped outside. The Doctor looked around. Memories flooded back into his mind from the Ponds and how he had lost them. He hated this place. It took Amy away from him. Even if it wasn't exactly the place, but in fact the angels, he still despised it. He walked around it anyway, thinking about what he had to loose. He looked around and saw where Winter Quay used to be. He was trying his best to get his mind off it, but being here that was impossible. The Doctor looked down at the ground and walked on. He saw a little coffee shop ahead. "I could go for some coffee right now.." he said aloud and walked inside of it. Once he ordered his coffee and paid for it, he sat at a table looking outside. The weather was nice but cloudy. Again he was reminded of that day. He shook it off and took a sip of his coffee. "I need to leave.." he quickly got up from his table and stormed out of the coffee shop. He walked quickly to get to his TARDIS avoiding looking at buildings he had seen once before.
Therefore he wasn't exactly watching where he was going and accidentally bumped into someone. "Sorry!" a voice said. The Doctor realized it was a woman. He looked up at her and his mouth dropped open. "Amy?" He managed to say. There in front of him was his old companion, Amy Pond. He had no idea how or why she was here as she had got sent back by the angel, but he didn't question it, not right now. He just pulled her into a big hug and then he hugged her husband, Rory, who had also once traveled with him.
If you haven't figured it out by now, our favorite Time Lord once muttered the words, 'I will never be able to see you again' to Amelia. And as you can tell, he did indeed see her again. Oh, now let's not forget Clara. She didn't wait forever. He didn't forget about her. He went to her house the next day and asked again, but this time, he had his Ponds with him.
