"Hey, Sammy," Dean sniggered, looking over at the younger of the Winchester brothers from his place in front of the laptop's LCD screen.

"Yeah?" Sam replied, glancing from his bag of crisps and over to his brother's highly amused face.

"You just got killed again!" Dean laughed audibly. Sam groaned in response.

"Argh, what was it this time? Pissed off spirit? Angry mother-in-law?"

"Actually it was another bank robbery gone wrong." Sam couldn't help but laugh at this comment.

"Another one gone wrong? Jeez, people probably think we have the most unsuccessful criminals on the planet!"

"Yeah, but we are so never leaving the house un-armed again. Especially not to banks!"

"Can't help but agree with you there, Dean," Sam said heartily, pulling a small book out of his rucksack. "So, shall we see what the total is this week, Deanie-boy?"

Dean groaned and nodded in response.

"Let's see," Sam continued, opening the book, "I have…three fires, two stabbings, five fatal gun-shot wounds, seven un-explained deaths and twelve supernatural events," he flipped the page, "whereas you have... five angry ex-girlfriends, three stabbings, burnt at the stake twice, shot four times, bashed over the head by an angry grandmother twice, hit by a car, twelve supernatural events, two un-explained, and looking here, I even shot you once!" Sam grinned, "but you know what the real kicker is? You're still the only one to have been killed by an angry mother-in-law!"

"So, where does that leave me?"

"That, my good brother, leaves you paying for the hotel room, and me eating free for the next month!" Sam said happily, stowing the small record-book in his bag again. Dean sighed and pulled some cash out of his wallet, handing half of it to Sam and taking the other half to go pay for the hotel room with. As he left the room he grumbled to his brother, "why won't these damn fan-fiction writers ever leave us alone? I mean, we never did anything to them! I swear they're worse than vengeful spirits!"

With that the door closed, leaving behind a rather joyful Sam, counting his winnings on this weeks betting pool. Sure, the fan-fiction writers did write some nasty stuff sometimes, but hey, it kept Sam happy, what with all the cash he was winning of Dean, especially from their latest bet – most annoying death. Sometimes it was hard to work out which ones were most annoying, but there was one this that the Winchester brothers whole-heartedly agreed on. Getting killed by a murderous mother-in-law sure took the cake!
