A/N This is the first I've tried writing anything like this. Any way, I hope it's not extremly awful. Enjoy.
Trudy sat on her bed looking at a picture of her and her parents taken a few months before the virus. Before they found out she was pregnant with Martin's child. The thought of Brady brought tears to Trudy's eyes. Brady was gone, dead, courtesy of Mega. That deranged Techno had her kidnapped and killed for his own sadistic enjoyment. She got her revenge though. He thought he could get away with murdering her daughter so Trudy blew that psychotic bastard straight to hell.
The Mall Rats were shocked to say the least. Some wanted to throw her out of the Mall. Surprisingly Ebony pled her case with the rest of the tribe. They agreed to let Trudy stay saying that it was better to keep an eye on her than have her roam the City streets. She faked gratitude, not caring what they thought of her but still noticing the looks they gave her. Amber, her once best friend, now refused to speak one word to her. Jay had tried to comfort her after Brady's death to no avail. He had betrayed before and Trudy would be damned if she let him get close again.
Trudy put the picture down on her nightstand and picked up a bottle of prescription pills. It would only be a matter of time. She had tried this once before but it hadn't worked. She sat there, fingering the bottle for some time before a shadow darkened her doorway. Jay stood there for a second before making a move to come in. Trudy, wise to what he was doing there, leapt off the bed, slammed the door in his face and locked it. Leaning against the door, she grabbed the knife that was sitting in the nearby dresser. She slightly hesitated before swiftly swiping it against the skin of her wrist, holding back the cry that formed in the back of her throat. The blood fell from the incision quicker than Trudy thought possible. After a few minutes she collapsed onto the floor, effects on an overdose of sleeping pills and blood loss. There was no Bray this time to save her. There was no Amber or Dal to make a fuss. There was no reason for her to come back.
Salene found her lifeless body the next morning. Although there were some protests, the tribe gave Trudy a proper funeral, sending her off the same way they did Martin. Going though her room, Lex found a note. He couldn't read the blood stained paper but he knew what it was. Lex showed it to the others who promptly read it. The letter was specifically addressed to four people; Jay, Amber, Salene and Ebony, as well as the whole tribe in general.
"As much as I'd like to go on you won't let me. You're reading this be cause I'm dead. It only takes a push to fall off a cliff.
With hope that you will change,
Trudy"
