(Rachel)

Rachel nervously waited in her office, rubbing her hands and groaning. Numbuh 86, or Fanny to her friends, was looking anxiously into the office, wondering what could get the soopreem leader of Kids Next Door so flustered. A girl with shiny, glistening, straight black hair that fell to her bra line, shimmering emerald green eyes and slightly tanned skin stared at Fanny. Quickly the red headed girl moved aside so the mysterious operative could pass. The two girls stood silent, before the black haired girl broke down in tears. Rachel rushed forwards and held her cousin. "Jem, what's wrong? Tell me what's wrong."

Jemma's teary eyes sparkled back at Rachel. "They left. My parents, they snuck out in the middle of the night and just left me, Kirsty and Leo."

Rachel shook her head. "But, why?!"

Her cousin just shrugged. "I think they owed this guy money or something. Could we stay here for a couple of days, until I can find myself somewhere else?"

"Sure. Jem, it'll be OK. Numbuh 60's up here somewhere. I'm really sorry, but Numbuh 1 needs to talk to me, something about the TND." She pulled a face to try and make her big cousin smile.

"'K." Jemma said quietly and left.

Moments later, Numbuh 1 entered the office, calmly. He took a seat opposite the blonde haired girl. "Numbuh 362, I'm afraid I don't completely agree with your idea for a Teens Next Door." He began. "How will you know if the Teenagers that join you aren't in league with the Teen Ninja's?"

"I think I'm smart enough to figger that out by myself Numbuh 1. Was there anything else?" Rachel sighed, looking down at the stack of paper work that lay on her barley visible desk.

"Em, yes, Numbuh 742 just told me she was going to 'decapitate' me if I got in her way again."

Rachel raised her eyebrows. "Jemma's going through a ruff time at the moment. She wouldn't have meant it."

Nigel nodded heading for the door, as he left, Rachel could have swore she heard him sigh the word 'Teenagers'.
