Fading Dreams.

Upon the alter she knelt and prayed for the sake of the world.

Her heavenly aura poured and sprayed, like prismatic lights that twirled.

A large dome filled with light, was a place of prayer

Her entrancing form burned so bright, All I could do was stare.

Stunned by her beauty, I could not move, for she was a sight to see.

Her eyes so bright her skin so smooth her soul lit up with glee.

She hardly flinched she barely twitched, she didn't move at all.

When suddenly my glance, switched to gaze up at the wall.

A cloaked man leapt down at she from very high above.

He held in hand a curved "T" and I watched the scene so stunned.

He landed with a deafening thud, followed by another.

There she lay, covered in blood, failing to help "Mother"

As I stood to watch her fall, I wanted much to scream

And kill the grey haired vision, the murderer of dreams.

"You killed her!" I screamed aloud, "Now you shall pay!

"Her beauty soared above every cloud, her smile brightened the day!

"She was an angel among demons, helping this cursed land,

And now you've killed her dreamings, her perfect place among the sand."

"Boy." He replied. "You just don't know, have you not any mind?

This witch you call an angel is really the foe, entrapping admirers with time."

"Shut up!" I heard myself cry, in rage and hate and fear.

Wishing the world for him to die, blinded vision from the tears.

"As you wish." I heard him laugh, pulling metal from it's sheath,

"To be avenged on her behalf, by a puppet, how very sweet."

The victor was justly I, but it was all in vain.

And I hear myself unconsciously cry, wishing for her pain.
