Her Butler, Her Protector

Rowan Keldsfield, or at least that what she calls herself now, and her butler were walking through a neighborhood in England, when they notice a small baby crying on someone's porch. Why was he there? Who is Rowan really? Where did her butler actually come from? When will the author stop the questions? Read and find out. Rated T because I'm paranoid, it may go up later.

"What the Hell is a baby doing on someone's porch?" I asked my butler Sugimi in mild interest. Smirking, he pointed to the old weird looking man walking up the street. "Mistress, I do believe that man over there is the culprit. ~" He smirked once more before bowing in front of me. "What would like for me to do my Mistress?" he asked while holding my hand to his chest.

It was now my turn to smirk as I knew exactly what I wanted. Pressing my hand more firmly to his chest, my smirk grew vicious. "Sugimi, take the old man to the second mansion in Canada, to the fourth basement level…and let's go ahead and put him in the interrogation section." Done with my statement, I took my hand away from his chest. Nodding, he stood back up into his usual stance. "Of course Mistress, I shall return momentarily." He stated before vanishing.

I knew he would be back soon, so I went to occupy my time with the infant that caught my interest. Crouching down next to the child I notice a letter attached to his blanket. "I trust that everything went well on your end Sugimi?" I asked as I read the letter. "Yes Mistress, he tried to resist, but I was able to deal with him accordingly." He nodded towards the child, who I had since found out was a boy, and moved to pick him up.

Smiling slightly, I gently moved his hands away. Feeling his questioning gaze on him, I handed him the letter. "Sugimi, if I were you I wouldn't pick this child up anytime in the near future." I said as I picked up the baby. While I was cradling him in my arms I noticed that it had what I supposed was his name sewn into his blanket. "Hmmm…H. J. P.? Hey Sugimi, does it say what his name is in the letter, I just skimmed the first two paragraphs before you came back." I asked while playing peek-a-boo with the little guy.

He smiled at me in a rare moment of tenderness. "Yes Mistress it does, it says in the third paragraph that the infant's name is…..hold on a moment while I find it." He said with mild annoyance. "Ah yes, Mistress it says that the child's name is Harry James Potter."
